It took quite a while, but I've finally got to know how the top GTT members' video got disq. 3 times unreadable names. It's fair.

But what if you at least highlight that this year you will be less tolerant in readable names, so it draws everyone's attention?

We will post the official 10 winners and add them to the first post later tonight, but here're results from the stream:

SvDhNzY.jpg

1st Place: German Tanki Tutorials

2nd Place: Russian Power

3rd Place: Apollo

Congratulations to the winners! :)

I would personally add that the stream had problems, including the 3 hrs length, and a judge being not experienced enough, and will make sure they are solved by the next competition, that will happen sooner than one year later.

Thank you all for coming, watching, and keeping the chat ruthless to some!

CONGRAT!

Great livestream (though it was a bit long :X), and congratulations to the winners. The tricks were great, but I must say that GTT's tricks were definitely creative, and you could tell they were carefully thought of out of the box and planned. Splendid job everyone!

The "parkour surviver" contest/compition was a way more organized then this one..

Everything was arranged with proper and fair judgment..

Apparently, whoever leads the MOP competition has to be professional in the parkour by himself

As one that parkour is all im does in this game,Judgment yesterday was a shame

Sorry Nives,But you have no idea what parkour means..

That's fair. I wanted for judges to be leaders of the most active clubs or contest organizers who did a lot for the parkour community. Unfortunately, not all could come and some chose to participate instead.

Somebody had to bite the bullet, and I did.

Lesson learned.

Nikk, your voice, it sounded like a 7yr old ruski kid... :P

As a ruski I'm offended by the comparison  -_-

Ok, so some things that I would like to point out and how can we improve for the next edition of MOP.

I am not requesting to change the final scores or whatever like that since I will give some pretty big example of how the scoring system was a bit incorrect.

I think creativity and difficulty of the tricks should bring teams more points instead of the timer and the number of tries.

Yesterday, the teams mostly got points for completing the tricks the fastest despite using really easy techniques to go onto the buildings.

The first and the last target might be a really good example.

(I am sorry if I use your team as an example but) for the last trick, GTT definitively pulled out a more creative and more difficult trick that Russian Power, and they got a lower score than them.

I don't really know why the judges put a 97 score for Russian Power since what they did was just a basic mine jump even though they made that first try.

Furthermore, my team had fewer points than the other teams from the judges for the last trick despite it wasn't a really creative one but we still made it with a Viking. (medium hull should bring more points since they are heavier).

Here is the final scores:

SvDhNzY.jpg

What I liked:

  • More time than last year, 5 min was really helpful and definitively enough.
  • The commentary was really good, I am happy that we surprised them with our first trick because we did something else than what they originally expected. ^_^
  • It is nice for the viewers to pick the last target to have more interactivity with them.
  • The organization was great, the stream lasted so long probably because we had 5 minutes instead of 2 minutes last year.
  • Sergei as a judge wasn't that bad, it is always good to have an external point of view of the situation. (But looks like he didn't like our team really much  )

What I disliked and should improve:

  • The scoring system as I explained above
  • The choice of houses. I think that the second and third spot wasn't really adapted for having different tricks for each team. In the video of those 24 potential houses, they were all tall buildings (which limited the approach of most of the teams). There were no small houses like last year. (Like seriously, those big white houses in Novel, Year 2042 and Pass, we do not have time to set up a fancy trick so we were mostly forced to use those basic ones.
  • As a live stream, it is probably better to have more interactivity with the viewers and prepare some prizes for them to keep them entertained. (Promo codes, bet on a team [like in eSports], and occasional giveaways during breaks.)
  • I don't know what happened to Tanki servers but they were extremely laggy yesterday. They need to find a way to fix that because I am pretty sure that before the update for merging all the servers, there was less lag overall. It was better for tournaments since we could go in a less populated server. But I really appreciated that they gave my team a second chance because one of our teammates lagged out. (I think Sergei took off some of our points because he thought we were abusing this, [i wasn't even watching the livestream].
  • Maybe next time, put the team order in a randomizer because I had a feeling that the team orders were based on who submitted first in that form. Moreover, we had to write a little team description for them to read during the livestream, but they read 1/3 of what I wrote.
  • You should probably take off points for bad landings (lading sideways).

ps; I have a feeling that I should put all of this in my next article instead of writing is here.

and a judge being not experienced enough

I wonder who you're talking about.

As one that parkour is all im does in this game,Judgment yesterday was a shame

IMO most of the tricks that were judged were judged quite fairly and accurately except for the tricks that were not even completed at all. Some team got around 10 points from each judge for completing a trick that had 0 creativity and way too much firepower after they had already failed to complete their trick within the time given... There's a reason why the judging scale is between 0-25. Apart from that, judging of the tricks this year was a lot better since this time most of the judging panel consisted of players who actually knew what parkour even was. Last year I was just cringing over how the judges were so easily impressed, so this year was a great step forward. Edited by cube3e

My team submitted the form later than most :D and we were second in the order - but it doesn't really matter who starts first, just maybe more pressure. They only read interesting parts of the team description :D, like for my team they were fascinated by Spy and his achievements. (Or, the fact that Nik every time forgets I was in his team in 2016)

Waw did Cowgirls even play?

They tried but later gave up as one player had problems due to server instability and another had to go offline for some other reason.

Apollo deserved 2nd place

I think that Judges overrated Russian's last trick, but it is too late to change anyway (no offense but Ben was the only one who put an honest score. Nives with that 25 <_< -_- ). We are still happy that we made top 3. :)

Bzzz bzzz that was me but all scores I put in were shown as Ben's, and all he put in were shown as mine. You can check the livestream to see that is true, as we always mentioned what score we give. There was an error in the spreadsheet we did, but it's not a big issue, mistakes happen :P

Ohh yeah. I remember that, a few hours ago when I watched the stream I noticed that weird thing and I checked to make sure if your voice isn't Ben's one.

Fact that you are with people who you insulted and were against shows something.

In truth, you don't even understand my history. We can say multiple reasons for what you are trying to say, like a specific ideology being manipulated.. But I'm not here to make fights. The current GTT has been reformed, in my opinion and many others - so what is exactly your point?

The fact that you are making yourself look (word), or you just wish to intervene in places which do not concern you?

If I was you, I would just go back to the eSports section - no offense, you casuing drama in the FnF topic, and trying to stir something up here.. Typical...

Edit: If you are referring to my MoP team, you are wrong. If you are referring to GTT, then I will just say you should stick your nose out, because you know nothing.

Ok mate, cool...he argues all the time...

If you knew what I know, you would have the attitude.

You can't respect someone who backstabs to get benefit to themselves and in end, gets what he deserved.

I don't know what you are implying  but I never back-stabbed TFP or if you are talking about the drama I was in, still I did not back-stab anyone.

In fact, the reasons I left TFP were personal, and in my opinion it was a smart move since I really enjoy being in GTT and moving forward with them as a club and as friends. I feel very happy with my decisions so far in the game, never have I felt happier in this game and free  :)
