Change the points system in DM mode

hunters have come to be known fairly well in DM game mode .. they just wait for 2 tanks to fight and then with one shot of their turret (mostly thunder for the splash damage) they kill both of the tanks and leave them both with no score .. These annoying players use the cheapest method that has come to exist to score, and mostly they score well in small maps like Halloween . and I think most of you players agree with me.


 


so lets say I confronted a tank with full HP , I made 90% damage and it did 80% to me . here comes the hunter , kills the other tank and gets 10 points , then kills me and gets another 10 ?


 


 


so my suggestion is that you make the scoring system in DM the same as in TDM , you get the score based on how much damage you inflicted rather than getting 10 points for each tank you destroy . 


 


in my previous example (after the suggestion is accepted (if it does :D ) ) it would be like this : when the tank I faced gets destroyed I get 9 points and the hunter gets 1 , and when I die the other tank gets 8 , and the hunter gets only 3 ... which seems only fair.

Stealing kills is an essential part of DM mode, in any game. You have to learn how to do it so that you can get the kill on other players, otherwise you should just play a different game mode. Your idea is very unlikely to get implemented.

I personally don't like it. There is already this point reduction in this mode which reduces the points received from those that have a lot of deaths. This would only make it harder to complete the already long DM missions. 

 

Kill stealing is part of the game mode.

Good idea,it was happened to me mostly in halloween map when completing my gold mission and whenever i tried to kill and he was just 1 shot away,someone came in way and steal my kill,i support thos idea,nice idea

What is the idea of DM then, camp with Thunder or Magnum?

whatever the idea is , it is definitely not stealing kills and waiting for 2 people to fight then kill them both...

DM mode is a savage mode... a survival mode, it's not about dueling or a gentleman-like game. There is a reason why we call theses players wolf or lone wolf.

You can still kill, you can make alliances, you can hide... all tactics that will help you survive and gain one kill are allowed, no limite. Think about Battle Royale and Hunger games and not DodgeBall.

Unfortunately your idea go against the principle of the TO DM mindset, therefore your idea is very unlikely to get implemented.

i really like DM how it is now and i don't want it changed.

 

i understand the frustration you get from not having any points when other players steal your kill, but that's what make DM fun, you can't just shoot a player and wait for him to die like other modes, you have 100% do it all by yourself, that's what a DM is all about, is about being in control and actually doing your work, i understand why most players don't like it, but to me, DM is where i belong and where you see the true level of any player.

 

there are 3 other modes you can play, if you don't like that you don't get any xp when others (like me, i'm a big kill stealer lol) ,  just don't play DM at all, change any DM Mission you get, and no one will EVER steal you kill ever again, problem easy solved.  :)

 

DM is where i belong, no mults, no noob teammates, no Isida XP mission noobs just hiding and healing, it's everyone for himself, i really like DM, it's better that any other mode, because if you are a strong player and you know what you are doing, you always endup getting xp points equal to crystals, wish is awesome, not like other modes where you lose because of your noob team.

As i am playing DM,i get mad when i am fighting someone,i reduce most of hitpoints,and when he is about to get destroyed,someone else hit it(1hit,smoky or thunder),and the kill count goes for him, that what i see it as an unfair,and also when i am fighting and the opponent beat me,if someone else hit him,the killcount goes to him(althought i reduced the most of the hitpoints)

      Due to that, i suggest for the moderators of the game,to make the killcount goes for the owner of the highest damage to the opponent.what i see its pretty fair to all players.

      i wish my idea(its not really mine,but i ve seen it in previous online game) will be applied on the game,and moderators take my idea in consideration.

Nah I disagree. Dm is all about kill stealing and it had always been so just handle with it or don't play it

'Hunters' would with this system get lower exp/kill ratio so it definitely gives them an advantage (unless they want more score).

 

Again, unless you both want more score than crystals. I'm fine with this idea since staying lower rank with more crystals is better.

When you shot an enemy tank you're destroying it already, if it takes three shots to completely destroy it and those three shots come from different tanks then those tanks should share the points.

Yes I do agree that the point system in DM mode must improve, so that players can earn points not just by killing players on impact, but by damaging players as well like in team battles. For example, when damaging an enemy in DM mode, you should earn points and build up the fund when another players finishes him off by killing him. Both, you that damaged the enemy and the player who destroyed him would both earn experience and points, and build up the fund as well.

Yes, I agree with you as well. We should build up the battle fund and earn experience points for damaging enemies like in team battles. I hope that gets implemented.

I am sure you are right about the chances fr this going forward. But there is nothing essential about this other than the fact that is how the scoring system is right now. Under a different scoring system kill-stealing would not be essential. 

 

What is the idea of DM then, camp with Thunder or Magnum?

Vulcan is also good for kill-stealing. Bottom line this mechanism certainly skews in favor of some turrets than others.

DM shows the "true level" of a player when playing DM. Other modes require a "true level" of different skill sets.

Well, in all the multiplayer DM games I've played, you only get the kill (and a point) if you land the final hit on the enemy. It's a general rule that's used in pretty much every other game.

that is partially true ... you can not get a kill in DM by damaging the enemy because a thief will come and steal your kill .. unless you're lucky and the enemy was already damaged . which is exactly why the scoring system is bad .. damaging tanks should give you points too ! 

 

and every other mode you get points for damaging tanks .. DM , CTF , CP , and even the new AS mode , they all give you a fair amount of points for damaging the tank (after it gets destroyed) . and no one's complaining about that because everyone thinks it is just fair and reasonable 

I played New year DM and I just played isida til I forced everyone to change from thunder because I was reking them to other turrets. I stole kills and everything

too bad .... this is the reason I have not played DM in like 3 months ... I hope they nerf you people :)
