Change the points system in DM mode

Well, in all the multiplayer DM games I've played, you only get the kill (and a point) if you land the final hit on the enemy. It's a general rule that's used in pretty much every other game.

There is a different scoring system in THIS game so clearly there is no Law Of Nature that forces TO DM mode to use the system it does, Clearly a game could be designed with a different system. No one is forces to be a copycat.

You make some valid points, so not gonna argue with you. I put the idea under review, so now it's up to devs to decide.

Yeah there should be exp points in DM too than the player with most exp will win or the player with most kills will win ?

not just exp , points just like all other game modes ... not just kills and deaths , points are needed too

the player with the highest point count wins the 1st place and so on.

Actually don't see the need to change DM, for the reasons mentioned already.

 

However, this game is crying out for an alternative to DM for those that can't be bothered with team battles, and this is a good alternative that may have slightly different gameplay to kill-stealing DM, which doesn't appeal to everyone.

 

Personally, I think it would be a popular mode.

Personally, I think it would be a popular mode.

a gamemode where you can chose your allies, making it impossible to deal damage to them (isida would be able to heal) that way it'll be like a battle with multiple teams, instead of the standard 2 team battles tanki already has. and the score for multiple damage done to enemies is shared between you and your team mates.

 

a seperate gamemode that just shares the exp done between different people would be too similar to DM mode, making it not really worth implementing separately.

I don't really care one way or the other if it is changed. I hardly ever play DM. I am just saying the system can be changed. It strikes me as invalid to say the system cannot be changed because the system has been thus for awhile.

 

Maybe TaffyTank has the best response of all. A new "Different DM" solo mode.

agreed ,either that or it could be a switch for pro battles and you can turn it on or off while creating a battle, and it could be a thing that applies to some of the normal 15min battles. it doesn't have to apply for all battles . But personally I think it'll be fun for kill stealers to play with each other and for other players to play with each other as well , where kill stealing would be less common and the fund will be higher because the tanks will actually shoot each other and stop sneaking and camping.

Some weapons are much better in kill stealing than others. For example, Shaft in sniping mode 1-shots light hulls(even M1 shaft with little upgrade kills full M3 Wasp or Hornet). Striker is a specialised long range weapon. Magnum is useless in DM. Changing the points system would help guns with low DPS and long reload and DM would not be full of Firebird and Twins.

hunters have come to be known fairly well in DM game mode .. they just wait for 2 tanks to fight and then with one shot of their turret (mostly thunder for the splash damage) they kill both of the tanks and leave them both with no score .. These annoying players use the cheapest method that has come to exist to score, and mostly they score well in small maps like Halloween . and I think most of you players agree with me.

 

so lets say I confronted a tank with full HP , I made 90% damage and it did 80% to me . here comes the hunter , kills the other tank and gets 10 points , then kills me and gets another 10 ?

 

 

so my suggestion is that you make the scoring system in DM the same as in TDM , you get the score based on how much damage you inflicted rather than getting 10 points for each tank you destroy . 

 

in my previous example (after the suggestion is accepted (if it does :D ) ) it would be like this : when the tank I faced gets destroyed I get 9 points and the hunter gets 1 , and when I die the other tank gets 8 , and the hunter gets only 3 ... which seems only fair.

 

Would be actually fair if we all have the same turret, hull and level. But if you are at a low level compare with the majority of the players, this is the only way to get points.

I would suggest instead getting more points when you kill opponents of a higher level than you. Don't know if this is already the case in any mode.

I like the points system. I come in first usually

in low ranks it's easy 

once you rank up a little bit more , try again and come back here :)
