This idea is pretty similar to your suggestion (give the rename once for non-money), so I merged them - thanks for the hint.

Yes, I agree, how epic your nickname is does effect how much time you will spend playing the game. If you have a dumb nickname, you are probably not going to play as much as a person with a cool nickname.

Who Agrees with me, Tanki should atleast give a chance to non buyers to change there name. I my self am not a buyer and i really wanna change my name. Atleast give 1 chance to change our name. This is my idea pleas tanki think about this!

Although there is an alternative solution. If you lose your account's name because someone else took it while you were inactive,[...]

Dont play for 300 days and then you can change for free

When you rank up to Legend, the only thing that is new is a permanent new rank icon and a heap of crystals, even though you technically just beat the game. 

 

I think a good idea is to reward all players at Legend a free rename pass for sticking with TO for such a long time considering how many players choose to rename themselves at Legend after playing many names with a noob nickname.

All the more reason to take time...a lot of time....to think of a nickname you can live with, matches your personality, hobbies, interests, which ever way you want to go with it.

I agree with the idea and it would be really great if this was added, but unfortunately it's impossible with the way this game was made. If this was implemented now, Tanki's tech support would never be able to deal with the amount of incoming name change requests from thousands of players. So it may happen in Tanki X, or in distant future, but it just can't work right now.

Why make them contact Tech Support? Just make the system add a free Rename Pass to your account once you reach Marshal (or any desired rank). Simple  :)

You can still change your names by not login-in your accounts for 2-3 months and opening new account with your current account nickname and approaching the Tech support to change the nickname.

You technically beat the game if you complete all achievements, but that's impossible so... I guess yeah, getting onto the final ranks counts as well.
