1 Player - 1 map

Hey guys.

 

I think this will be declined, but i will try anyway.

 

All of you (at least 80%) played in every map at least once. You know all the maps and so. You want to play on new map. My idea is, there is a programm where you can build your maps and paints (or whatever)... Every player should be able, when they REACH LEGEND RANK to customize their own maps FOR 100K CRYSTALS and be able to play on it only in private match that wont be able to post in  main chat, and player will be able only to invite his friends.

Something like a secret private match.

Sorry, this can't be done because it could be abused easily.
 
The layout of maps defines the speed of building up the fund.
For an instance, it would take 1 day until we would face a lot of battles taking place in a plain field, where two flag points are right next to each other in the middle, enemies spawn all around them, tons of DP drop locations are around, but not a single DA. So the number of kills and flag captures would rise to the sky very fast and so will the fund. Of course, there is no real "gameplay" behind this map anymore.. what I sketched here is a pure grinding map. But it will lure many players out of real battles because the chance for fast crystals is calling for them, I hope you got my point. 
 
Other than that, I do agree with the idea and it actually is a great idea, but unfortunately, it won't be implemented in Tanki. I can guarantee you that. Custom maps are good as a concept for a whole separate new game that would have its main focus set on custom maps set by players. In fact, I'm sure such games already exist. But the main problem is that in a 3D game like Tanki Online it's extremely hard to make a good map. Even in a game like Minecraft where making custom terrain seems to be as simple as it can get, it's still quite hard and time-consuming to create a good custom map.
 
And I can tell you that almost all players come to Tanki just to play some quick battles, rather than to sit here for hours learning and using some custom map-making feature. It's just not worth spending a whole lot of time and resources developing such a server since it would have very low demand.
 
Currently, Tanki already has 77 maps for you to play on. I think it is enough variety for now in my opinion

But then fund and experience could simply be disabled in player-made maps.

I got your point, my idea is just for parkour for those players who want to.

Hate put a lot of focus on the problem with abuse, but a bigger problem is the fact that creating a custom map making tool that would be user-friendly and would work smoothly with the rest of the game is a huge amount of effort. Even now creating a mew map using the current map creator tool requires knowledge of how it works and map making experience in general. Besides, not many players have the patience to create a good map, so even if this complicated feature does get implemented, very few players would actually use it. So it would be a lot of work hours wasted for no reason.

I completely agree with the rest of your points, except this one.

 

Yes, Tanki may have 77 maps, but how many are really played often by players? 10-20? That is not much variety at all. When was the last time you played Camp,Factory or Subway? 

It is a fact that the majority of tanki maps are either underused, or not used at all.

 

Perhaps this custom mode can be implemented with something like the parkour mode, where you and your friends can play, but no experience of crystals earned. Then again, not many would use something like this other than the most bored of the Legend Veterans who feel they have nothing left to achieve in the game.

 

Maybe it could be good for eSports, where custom eSports maps are created and used in tournaments, and where the community's best map creators make special maps where the teams dont know what its gonna look like, plunging them into the deep end and forcing them to improvise and use their instincts and teamwork, rather than rigorous practice.

 

It could shake up the currently (in my humble opinion) boring eSports scene, where not much has changed for the past few years. Its still xpbp focused and the same top clans are still dominating in the EN region (I dont follow RU much). I like the new "Hard" format, but that is played the least and it is not prioritised in training by teams (I think anyway, correct me if I'm wrong).
