Slight change to repair kit

I appear to be in a minority here, but I actually agree with devs' decision to change the repair kit and make it less OP. What they did makes perfect sense and I feel like it greatly improved balance between buyers and free players, as well as increased the amount of skill needed to use supplies effectively.

 

However, I'm sure we can all agree that we often get those extremely frustrating moments when you activate the repair kit, but a tiny bit of splash damage or a stray Twins shot hits you and stops the repairing process. So I got an idea on how to make this less annoying.

 

Simply make it so that the healing only stops if you take a certain amount of damage after you activate it. So if you activate it while being on fire from a Firebird, the healing won't stop after 1000 hp. If you activate it and get hit by a twins shot or splash damage, it won't stop. But if you activate it and get shot by Thunder or Railgun, or use it while being attacked by Twins or Firebird, the heal will give you 1000 hp, but it will stop after you take something like 300 damage (i.e. after less than a second).

 

So in a nutshell: allow the tank to take a little bit of damage while repairing, without stopping the repair.

          The repair kit should stay repair kit. Or name it "semi repair kit" or "joke repair kit" and lets pay for it semi or joke the price we are paying now, also is the most expensive supply (except gb) lol Tanki are you kidding me?! Nerfing the repair kit is just a bad decision and a cheap troll Tanki is offering to me nowadays in return for me paying crystals or money for it. Everyone can get them they are so cheap. If Tanki nerfed repair kit just because of players crying, no worries, Tanki can go pay the free players to play and they will still be unhappy. Worst decision ever. I might not pay for any supplies soon anymore again.

The repair kit is fine in my opinion.

Its meant to be a repair kit for a tank, not a charge headfirst into battle and be invincible for 2 seconds steroid which was what it was before.

 

Therefore, it should be used when no enemies are around, or when hiding to recover your health - after a fight is done.

If you are fighting another tank and want to heal, find some cover and do it.

 

If you are out in the open, thats on you - then your tactics have meant that you dont deserve go get full health back in that duel. Keep in mind that if you are in the open, your opponent(s) most likely are too.

 

Footnote: I&S mods allowed to "Under Review" their own ideas? Surely get another mod to provide a second opinion and do the judging - kinda biased if you judge your own idea.

it is very frustrating when u killed the firebird and then you use repair and it stops after 1000 hp because you are in after heat effect 

it is even more frustrating when you're supposed to kill someone with burn but he uses a repair kit.

it is the right of player to use repair but when your enemy is dead and not doing any damage then why the repair don't work to it's full efficiency?

it is the right of the firebird to let his m2 alteration work to its full efficiency. so what if it's dead the whole point of burn is to damage someone even after you die.

And also, there should be a option to remove this noob repair kit update , like if you want to disable effect of enemy's fire on activation of repair after 1000hp. In pro-battles or Atleast Parkour battles, since It will help a lot in parkour.

Im thinking that for the time a repair kit is active, the repair kit will cancel itself out with the damage given.

 

Say it heals 1000hp per second for three seconds. That's 3000 hp. Say the player is being shot at. Their health will not go up or down while they're being fired upon. For instance, if you're under fire from a Firebird, they do 2300 damage to you, while you're using the repair kit, the 3 seconds of 1000hp will cancel that out and you gain 700 in the end.

 

This way you're not doomed, and this way you dont need to be shot with a strong enough value to cancel out your tanks health in one hit.

That's what happens when you spend money on tanki or any game in general...

 

          Not your problem what I do with my money and there are hobbies really expensive while tanki is just a game lol. Would you keep your mouth low since no one asked for your finanical advise lol. I can spend in Tanki as much as I want.

I said nothing about financial advice or that you shouldn't spend money in the game.  Also, not all free players are whiny 12 year old kids who scream "HAKERR!!!111!!1!" every time they get shot. 

 

Lets not turn this into a flame war, ok guys?

I&S mods are trained to evaluate an idea to determine whether or not it violates any rules or has potential to be implemented. And if we can do it for other players' ideas, then why wouldn't we be able to do it for our own?

 

Either way, if you think there's something wrong with my idea (or any other idea, for that matter), feel free to explain in the topic and I can reconsider its status.

Better idea is to leave the RK as it is right now. But make splash damage less pervasive in the game.

Wouldn't that make things unbalanced and unfair when some turrets have constant firing while other turrets have long reload time before shooting?

 

I think my idea is fair, 2000hp per use, it fully heals light tanks of any modification and it half heals an M4 heavy hull. It would be the same amount of hp for any tank, a hiding camper or a brave flag runner.
