That was a WILD ride!

 

I opened one crate and got 3500 crystals.  I immediately dove back into Rio to collect more.  I played for over an hour and a half and got about 55 boxes...I spent a BOAT LOAD of supplies to get those 55 boxes...and only opened the one.  I sure as hell hope Tanki does not take them away.  I will be livid.

Don't take the stuff away. Just be smart think it through and don't. If you take a toy away from one kid, you can't control him. Imagine this for thousands of players. Tanki would be broken forever.

If they do Tanki will have to ban like 20k accounts and that would kill the game on its own. This is different to the other Gold incident that happened around 6 months ago.

For REAL Black Friday, the first few shoppers (players) get in the door (battles) and get the best deals (higher container rates). Then all the slackers (later players) come and see that the 72" LED TVs for 100 bucks are all gone, and all that's left is the stinking monkeys with Santa hats that clap the cymbals (putrid normal gold box rate).

Wait if Devs are rewinding the servers then how would they differentiate a person who bought some crystals right before the event from someone who got the boxes?

There was a Gold box supply glitch where it dropped a gold, but it didn't reduce the count in your supplies. Only 20-30 players were involved in it and received punishment. This is obviously different, thousands of players were involved.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic or not, but ideas for both games are made in the same office and I guarantee you that the game designers of both games often work together to decide which features are best to be added to both games.

I think what's happening is they're freaking out and trying to come up with a decision to appease everyone. They wouldn't just freak out and ban everyone over some missed hyphen or backdash.

So very true!  I worked in retail for years and this is exactly what happens.  The loss leaders you advertise get snatched up as soon as you open the doors in the morning to let in the waiting throng of shoppers.  We were here at server restart, so I hope we are the lucky shoppers that got the promo stuff.

i had over 150 so you're a bit lucky in a span of 40 min
