It's kind of strange though. If it was a programming error, the goldbox drop rate would have been changed (someone added an extra 0 by accident). But goldboxes are triggered by increases in battle fund, and during the event it seemed that golds would drop regardless of how often the fund increased. It makes me think this "bug" was an inside job . . .

 

Nowhere near as hard as the people who bought these things with their own cash . . .

Lol i bet your opinion would change if you didn't catch 100+ gold boxes. Basically right now Tanki either lets the players keep the rewards and then 1000 players will be happy but the rest of the community will be angry or they take away the rewards and 1000 players get sad but the rest continues as normal. If they take back everything then everything will go back to normal and the game keeps on running but if they don't take back the items a lot of the community

will be angry and start quiting...

In my form of argument, TO has no authority to take away the rewards that people earned during the wild hour of black boxes. And also simply quitting over missing an hour of free items is just straight up ridiculous. Is it the player's fault this happened? No. So if the childish players that quit want to quit then they can go ahead, but honestly it's TO's fault this happened to that's who they should be taking it out on.

But at the same time, how does some players getting crystals harm you? I see you are almost at max rank but at low levels there are always people with m2 by wo1. Players learn to deal with incredibly strong players, but still I think paints need to be taken back.

ok this is a different statement. this isn't about hurting the game. its about those who weren't online.

 

so a few things. tank could give them some free containers. and yes it is a bind, hurt those online doing stuff, or those offline. 

 

but again, bugs have happened in past. and they stay. who takes time to be where when its just what it is. of course if i weren't online id be kicking myself for not having played. but it happens.

but lets say i go to bed right now. and then tank comes on and says from times x-y on sunday the same bug will be in game so everyone has a chance to get it.

no. its good for those who get it. but i won't get to do all things everywhere in tank. i don't participate in all the tournaments that some do.

That's baloney.  It's like when Tanki had the defend the gold tournament a week or so ago and not everyone got in.  If every time a person failed to get in on an event they quit, NOBODY would be left.  EVERYONE would leave.

 

This is a glitch.  A transient abnormality.  It's not like a hurricane - it's more like a gust of wind.  Some people will be able to upgrade a little sooner. But not any sooner than someone who bought a bunch of crystals.  Some people will have a spiffy new paint.  But not any paint that someone couldn't just buy.  Some people will have more supplies.  But not any more than someone who just forked over some cash.  And it's pretty clear this isn't going to be happening all the time - which is what it would actually take to "ruin" the Tanki economy.  In fact, your argument amounts to saying that because you paid $5/pound for steak, you'll never eat steak again because you just found out some people, one time, for a couple of hours, got steak for free.  It's what my dad would call, "Dog in the Manger" behavior.  You don't care about what you have or can get - you just want to prevent other people from having it too.  In short: You're selfish and mean-spirited.  You don't just want what's best for you - you want to make sure other people suffer.

 

If Tanki's smart, they'll just fix the bug and move on - and part of their NEW procedure will include REAL QA TESTING before each release... something I don't believe they've EVER done before.

but even though i didn't get that many, I'm not saying they should lose what they got. its mor ehtan me yes, but good for them.

this is just like the biggest dream tank giveaway ever... but with time and micro upgrades and 4 mnths to get it. or pay for speed ups. 

 

i can see based on the extremely skewed who got 2.3 mil and 700 boxes like wow. and when the 700 box guy  opens all is, easily probably more will get upwards of millions if we keep. I'm a little hesitant now.

 

but the game already has it where people make millions. now its just more
