One little note - my profile still shows that I caught 80 gold boxes from the craziness yesterday. Will this be corrected as well?

 

At this time there are no plans to correct the stats, but I will forward your question and request to the devs.

 

I am asking last time what about those poor players who waited for 4 hours to play this game?

 

The Premium was added for those who lost items due to the bug, if you could not enter the game, there is no consolation.

Tanki Developers/People who can talk to developers, Please read this:

So most of us know how you may or may not have messed up the black gold box drop rate to (8 turned sideways), and some of us actually were playing at the time. I happen to have been playing during this glitch and collected 102 black gold boxes. I spent 4 hours just to do this, and I am very disappointed that when I logged back on this morning all of my stuff was wiped except for 24 hours of premium. I beg you to return half of what we earned back to us, if not, at least a quarter of what we earned. Now I realize this might destroy the economy of this game, but not many people were playing at the time of this incident, so not many people will have much stuff. I opened the containers and received many cool items, such as the zeus paint, spectre, red suit, and even golden star. I also happened to rise from 80,000 crystals to 300,000 crystals from the containers I got from black gold boxes, and I was very happy, until you restarted the servers and wiped everybody's winnings away. It's not like we didn't fight during the black box rain, and it was in fact pretty hard to take a few. So please, consider returning some of our winnings back to us, because on a daily basis, I only get about and hour of time on this, and since it was thanksgiving yesterday I spent all my time trying to take as many gold boxes as I could. wow, if you got that many boxes in just 4 hours it means you did nothing but catch golds. you should be punished for multing instead

I didn't play during the black box glitch. I didn't got any black box.

 

Did someone hack Tanki in this black box glitch issue? If it is not, it is the event given by Tanki. Even it is some kind of mistake it is not done by us. Players didn't hack Tanki but put their time to play. Something given is given. Tanki now took away everything players earned in the event. Tomorrow Tanki will take away everything players earned today and the day after tomorrow Tanki will take away everything players earn tomorrow and so on.  Tanki is UNTRUSTABLE !

I spent 2 hours last night gathering 246 containers.  Now you want to take them away because you messed up ?  And give me a 'single' day as premium ?  OMG.... you guys really have  no idea how to treat customers.  You crap on us all them time.  Perhaps it's time to take my business elsewhere ?

 

The drop rate this morning was absolutely a mistake and also a failure to quickly inform you on Tanki's part and my own.

 

Seeing the drops happening every second and knowingly partaking in a clearly broken mechanic is another problem.

 

In the original announcement it is stated the drop rates are the same as Gold Boxes. You knew it was broken. I don't excuse the developers for waiting 2 hours to stop the game and fixing it for 5 more, that's just bad job on all fronts. What I can understand is that hundreds of boxes farmed using a bug by a small percent of all players is a real threat to the game and its economy. What about everyone who bought the special offer? What about players who slept or were away and now need to fight tooth and nail for every rare box, when you drove around and caught hundreds of them with the effort of launching the game during the broken time?

 

For the company, it's simple - give everyone gold rains, devalue your items and close the game, or eat ~100 pages of anger.

THIS IS INJUSTICE !!! those who got hundreds of goldboxes in just 2 hours clearly spent all that time just catching boxes and not helping their team. every battle they joined they went to take gold and did nothing else.  they should be punished for multing, how can they be rewarded for that!??!

This is ridiculous. Last night got my hopes up of finally having enough crystals to upgrade some more items to M1. You can easily understand why by looking at the price of those items and the amount of crystals you earn in battle. It's going to take a long time. Now it's all gone. Nobody who played during that time did anything wrong. The game looked like that, we played it like that. What kind of Black Friday even is this? It's like driving to the mall for that special only to find out the pricing is the same as before.

I'm impressed that you managed to fix this, I thought you were going to leave it that way, then some devs say that you'll do something about it and wait for us to forget, like in the previous ones.

Can people that exploit the glitch stop whining? It is not yours to begin with.

 

In fact, tankionline have gave many chances despite the glitch.

 

First time: 2012 - Daily gifts given for 1 hour just by refreshing and entering the game. (Rewards kept by players, but warning lettet by TO to stop and report if such happen in the future.)

 

Second time: year unknown, but it was another gold glitch, but 1000 crystals. Still, some players still managed to keep the crystals and once again TO team urge people NOT TO exploit the glitch, and report it immediately.

 

Today: 2 previous warnings given, yet these players still do the same, exploit the glitch...

 

I was affected by this as well, but instead of exploiting, i left the battle and reported this issue.

 

I dont see the point why players are complaining about hours and supply spent to exploit a glitch and demand compensation... Losing your hours and supplies spend would act as a punishment for you to not exploit bugs in the future.

 

Instead of compensating these dishonest players, perhaps, tankionline should give 10 black containers to those who did not take advantage of the bug and report immediately. (So that next time players would be honest thinking theres reward)

That is ludicrous!  Your point is so far from the mark it is almost insane.  First of all the day started and boxes started falling all over the place.  Most players thought it was another player dropping.  The next game started and it was the same thing....NOBODY thought it was a glitch....EVERYONE thought it was a glorious Tanki event for Black Friday...finally something good from Tanki.  I never left the Rio map because I thought it might only be happening on Rio.  I think many other players felt the same.

 

There were NO WARNINGS GIVEN...ZERO.  Why did it take Tanki 2 hours to find this glitch?....did the mods not see the glitch?  Had you been playing within those two hours you would have been exactly like the rest of us but you were probably sleeping.  No warnings, no mods popping up to say it was a glitch....it just went on and on...WE ALL THOUGHT IT WAS AN EVENT.  Don't you naysayer sour grapes folk dare try to judge.

 

Tanki screwed up and we paid the price in supplies and time wasted.  Now they have stepped up and given all the participants 24 hours of Premium as some small compensation (which is appreciated...thanks Tanki) but it still won't cover all the lost supplies and the time can never be replaced not to mention the dire disappointment.

Interesting. And here I thought we would get compensation for something you guys messed up. Had we known that it was a mistake we wouldn't gone racing to grab boxes that would eventually get removed because the Devs failed to look things over properly. You should have let us keep at least one item of each category in the boxes.

Random thought - is it possible that containers could be a daily mission reward someday, like gold boxes? This might help to soothe some of the anger people are feeling right now. Maybe.

BTW thanks to you guys, honest players cannot play for 5 hours, and caused some players to lose their mission chains. Shouldnt you guys compensate these honest people first?

Since Tanki was able to do so, Tanki was right to undo the mistake of the non-stop Black Boxes. I lost some stuff too. But I should not have got it in the first place.

 

Tanki as wrong to screw up the programming. That sort of error occurs too often to inspire confidence in the TO company. IMO at least confidence in the company is required before making purchases from that company.

 

Bottom line: No one was hurt more by the screw-up than the TO company itself.

I guess those who want exp points got a good deal. Myself I'd rather not have exp. unless I'm getting crystals to match it, because exp without crystals only works to your disadvantage. But yeah, it would have been a great time to do a killing spree, too.

The removal of items earned during the glitch is fair to the rest of the players.

 

The Black Friday topic explained what the event will be and what drop rate will the Black Boxes have.
