Black Friday in Tanki!

The drop rate this morning was absolutely a mistake and also a failure to quickly inform you on Tanki's part and my own.

 

Seeing the drops happening every second and knowingly partaking in a clearly broken mechanic is another problem.

 

In the original announcement it is stated the drop rates are the same as Gold Boxes. You knew it was broken. I don't excuse the developers for waiting 2 hours to stop the game and fixing it for 5 more, that's just bad job on all fronts. What I can understand is that hundreds of boxes farmed using a bug by a small percent of all players is a real threat to the game and its economy. What about everyone who bought the special offer? What about players who slept or were away and now need to fight tooth and nail for every rare box, when you drove around and caught hundreds of them with the effort of launching the game during the broken time?

 

For the company, it's simple - give everyone gold rains, devalue your items and close the game, or eat ~100 pages of anger.

You're lucky the devs gave you premium to compensate. You shouldn't get anything.

If you play as much today with the premium as yesterday with the crazy drops, between 1 daily reward and the double fund from battles, you'll easily make up for the "lost" supplies.

 

But really? A "surprise event"?? The devs have NEVER done anything with that scale, and anyone with half a brain would realize that they won't. You had to know it was some sort of glitch.

 

Besides, if you were on the other side, and a bunch of players excluding you got a big advantage, you'd want it corrected as well. Hypocritical for thinking that you should keep the stuff just because you were a part of it.

You have NO IDEA what you are talking about.  Like I said, EVERYONE thought it was a special surprise event.  Had you been there you would have thought the same...especially after a few battles and no mods, announcements, nothing from anywhere saying it wasn't just part of Black Friday.

The removal of items earned during the glitch is fair to the rest of the players.

 

The Black Friday topic explained what the event will be and what drop rate will the Black Boxes have.

 

You'll get something tomorrow form the Premium account, join after server restart.

I agree the roll back was probably the best solution .  It is disappointing to lose all that stuff, but all in all it is not unfair to roll it back as Tanki has done...and then they stepped up with a consolation of 24 hours of Premium.  In retrospect, it is a pretty fair shake (even though I used up a boatload of repair kits for nothing)

I think that statement applies really well in this forum thread.

 

It was a glitch. Tanki messed up. As someone said earlier, the TO team probably got the most screwed up out of everyone, and you got a day of premium. Common. Why stay here and argue when you can play now and try to catch the real deals? Sad for me, 3 dropped in 1 hour, caught none cuz I always get killed by an isida.  :P That's just how I roll with goldz I guess.

But the game and the game economy is saved.

 

If you want to have a lot of drugs claim only one mission a day. If I manged to make all 3 missions a day I only claim 1 that day, then another one the next day without playing, and so on. To have fun I play with trow away accounts. Why? because many do the same or worse, they mult for pick up boxes andor they participate in forum contests, so it is a competition of who ranks slower while getting more rewards.

My post had NOTHING to do with keeping or removing the crates picked up.  it also had NOTHING to do with ease or difficulty in picking up crates.  My post, and tone of my post, was based on someone calling me and thousands of players "dishonest" and then later blaming players in the Black Rain for the 5 hours down time while Tanki fixed their mistake.  You might try reading a bit more carefully before barfing out sarcastic comments.

 

But, now that YOU bring it up, it was kinda hard collecting crates.  You know what one gold box brawl is like right?  Now, imagine doing that for two hours straight and tell me how easy the time passed.  It was tooth and nail. max drugs, max repair kits, max aggression the entire time...no it wasn't easy and I think that is one of the biggest reasons participants are angry...not really because of losing all the crates.

 

I personally think Tanki made the right call for once by recalling all the items and crates and I am grateful that they stepped up with some compensation...a pretty fair shake.  In retrospect, I am just happy I got to be part of The Black Rain.

when i playing i earned 50K crystals and over 200 of every supply and 2 week premium account and the spectere paint then i lost it all after that server update what happened and if my stuff don't come back can you guys bring it back pls that would be appeciated.

i quit Tanki officially in the last 10X drop rate halloween (wish i coulndn't play thanks to you Tanki).

 

but  when i saw the guys at the ratings page today with +700 golds, i thought i passed on the best day in Tanki history, but i didn't, it was just a glitch, and nobody kept anything from the containers after server restart lmao !  :lol:

Tanki Creators it's not fair that us non-buyers aren't able to get this addition you added for a limited time especially since so many people can't get theses black boxes. Please respond to me or send me an email: iidore6@gmail.com, also why did you remove the unlimited gold box drop this morning, I had over 1000+ supplies and 50k+ crystals now that really helped me out. Is there anyway you guys can bring that back too?
