I saw this contest after 4-5 days of release and thought that 4 players have already been submitted all correct answers.. no need to try luck.

Because we had very little entries thatscored 10/10, and thus other vacant winning positions went to those who didn't score 10/10, but still did exceptionally well considering the tricky nature of this contest.

I guess your assumption was wrong then. Sometimes you have to try your luck and risk to win.
