I have that 500k version fully MU-d. When I first bought it, I did get some attention people asking what paint is that, because they wanted to know what kind of protection it has. Mine is fully MU-d and have 50 isida/smok/thunder(which was best protection imo back then). So it was really OP paint back then when isida,smok and thunder were turrets to go for due to being extremely good. It was great back then!! Now, when modules are here, I think I got asked only once or twice, what paint is that. Also, actual protection module is useless now, isida is still strong, thunder is so so, smok is useless. It does look cool, but so does zeus/holo and about 5 more paints. So end of day, it's not actually that big of deal.

 

Is that a confirmed fact, that chance to get rare paint was 1/100? I got spectrum, moonwalker, flow, red suit by opening 175 of them - already had nightmate, eternity. Must of been lucky.

 

I would assume that there are about 150 extra eternities now.

many active player now are not in 2013 and when they saw old player with eternity or moon-walker (which are less then 1%) they what these paints too this was their chance to get them.

So what is the module actually called of Eternity's old protection stats?
Moonwalker's protection for example; got transformed into the Wolf S-C M2 module.

 

I don't see Moonwalker as a special paint anymore, they inflated the whole concept of special items with the shop.

Here, it gave different protection modules to those different rank brackets. It was pretty special.

 

Just to add - back then 100k crystals at WO5 was almost impossible to earn without buying. These days you can easily earn that amount, if not more (I know, lukey :P), so even tho it doesn't seem expensive, it was. Also the fact, that you needed premium account to buy it made it "buyer only", and again, back then there was no "1$ for 1 day premium", at least from what I remember, tho buying month premium is also not so expensive. So again - premium only, high price was and is reason why only a few people bought it, and why so many want it. (also it's looking incredibly good, but that's another thing :ph34r:)

On the other hand, these days you could see people opening hundreds of containers, which is way more expensive.

Protections at each modification were really nice and even more with upgrades (for example 50% from firebird starting from Third lieutenant).

So after I saw, that eternity is back, I was really happy, that I could maybe earn it without buying, but sadly I didn't :lol: Not surprising, it's really rare.

And for everyone, your paint(s) is/are still special, noone will take away the fact that you were here back then and bought it ;)

If you see someone with Moonwalker now, you just know that they either got it in 2013.. or with opening a stupid container.

In the end, Moonwalker can be obtained by currency.. it's as simple as that.

Traceur better not return in containers. If it does they might as well just add all the MOP paints as well... After all they were all for the same contest.

Well it is a Silence with the low gravity setting so it can be called Moon Silence. But it isn't the same 'Moon Silence' that was released in 2013. The 2013 Moon Silence was the old Silence I map with low gravity which is different to the current one.

I saw very low ranks with Eternity and Moonwalker last night, I'm not familiar with the other "rare" paint. I didn't get anything on black friday and I'm okay with that because I don't like adding unnecessary paints that I would have to scroll a lot to change paints during battle.

Ahh true, who would know space mode would come out for much much more maps right? Maybe they optimized the anti-cheat system to fit space physics in the game.. though judging from the fly hackers that we see there's quite some work to do.

 

I do think that the thresholds of the code that decides whether someone is using hacks or not; has it limits and can't be narrowed much more.. otherwise the parkourists can start to see the auto server disconnecting again.

The next time tanki say that here is a one time special offer of buying something - Don't Believe Them.

They've proven themselves to backtrack constantly. Nothing is certain here.

 

When they were discussing Eternity and Moonwalker in the meeting about Containers, did anyone say, "Hang on, we told those players at the time that these paints were one time special offers, we would come across as liars just to make more money!"

 

Who cares!

 

Just another example of bad decision making which just adds to reasons why players want to leave.
