Updated maps and X3 Mission chain rewards

I really hope they add the new maps to pro battles soon. So far, I've NEVER seen a single Yorkshire map. Also, I really want to see the new changes. My friend, who has a lower rank, told me about how huge Massacre is, but all I can ever seem to find are things like Molotov, Osa, and other maps that I feel are uncreative. There are some that I like, but I had never played most of those maps before the battle button update. I guess that is what Tanki was trying to do, but I really want to be able to participate in some of my favorite maps. I haven't been able to play on any maps that they updated (some of my favorites) because the battle button always chooses the same ones. (As you can see, I never really liked the battle button anyway. If it actually worked, I would welcome the matchmaking system.)

Looks like nothing has worked so far, right now there are only 15361 players.

Which is pretty average as of late for 0600UTC. You cannot argue about the game losing players by looking at the online number at a random time, you'll need average it out weekly over a couple of months or something to determine wether we are losing or gaining players.

 

Not saying we aren't losing players compared to 2014/15, it's just pointless to look at the online number and scream about losing players like the average server graph warrior.

Tanki has become BIG tanks all drugs battlesWhile I don't mind the drugs - with 3x Mission rewards I have plenty - all the changes to the maps I really like (Rio, Polygon, Highland...) seem to have been designed for drivers of big tanks who cannot turn corners :( This account is based on a Viking which is OK, but in my other account I use a hornet. This used to be excellent on small maps that favoured fast, skillful (I hope!) players, but it now gets massacred on most maps unless it is on a team that is so totally dominant that the long range big guns of the opposition get put out of action most of the time before they can hit you. Sadly, Tanki has lost variety and is becoming increasingly monolithic based on large, brute force tanks with weapons like Magnum and bang-bang (sorry, Twins). Even Rail seems to be a limited choice compared to the past. (I don't actually use it, just an observation.)

The only new maps that are nice are highland, polygon, massacre... all those maps that were small. But the big maps like solikamsk, brest, highways and others were much better before this update. I agree to bring them back to originals and mantain two version of the small ones.

All battles are one sided in Non-Pro battles :lol:

 

Win or lose, it's boring.

And most just want to join the winning team... who can blame them.  :lol:

You say 2014/15 when you know that just a few months back we had more players. 

 

But the point was that after all the fancy stuff the numbers are still low. Right now 12800, you can doubt the reasons, but you know the truth.  :P

If a wasp m1 magnum m2 is able to run around the corners of polygon avoiding a viking m3 ricochet m3 five times from death by killing me instead, there has to be some sort of aide for magnum in the new polygon map (or maybe I'm still just a noob with ricochet after some hours of practice). Just an experience.

Did they do this to avoid magnum users to just shoot right at an enemy if that enemy is right in front of them? Because it seems to me that it is happening less for the past 2 days? Anyone else aboard this, or is that only me? Well, they certainly helped them by putting buildings, blocks, walls, and making maps bigger. 

 

Or.... maybe everyone is being tricked into using magnum a lot more now? Perhaps for testing purposes? Or perhaps so that the developers get some sort of excuse for nerfing this beautifully destructive weapon as well?

 

If that's the case, I might as well buy magnum m3 titan m3 during the christmas sales! =)

Its irritating to move in a small space with those fat hulls who can't turn their turret, when you aim your enemy, suddenly stupid pushing & aim lost. Its disgusting to play with noobs nowadays. .

i know right .i mean i do consider myself as a newcomer but i dont push people around for overdrive (i do push people if they push me off when i am using shaft)

Wrong, since the Repair kit update the overall number of players has slowly increased. 

 

Before it we averaged around 35k players per day. In the (rough) 4-6 months (I think) that it's been released we have gained around 5k more players for each day. So we currently sit at around a max of 40k a day. (Obviously more on weekends / special events)

the thing is they push people off mostly because of your high score or high K/D and if u push me off once I won’t say anything but they keep on doing it.Thats what i hate the most

Speaking of which, how's the balance between teams on the other reworked maps? And in other game modes? Has it improved, worsened, stayed the same?

FYI, this question is not specifically aimed at you, but at anyone who played the maps.

- Industrial zone IMHO now favours Blue team more than ever.  been playing like 5 games for reds so far, never been able to have balanced game in TDM. After that i just gave up, it is simply not fun being slaughtered like that.

    1) Removal of small house on the top of the small corner platform ensured reds have no more cover when camping there, so no way to retaliate blue snipers hiding in buildings on upper levels.

    2) By enlarging the other platform and adding a new concrete wall here devs ensured the blue tank can easily aim anyone in red spawn zone, having nice cover on hand. On the other hand, when you take it by red tank (if you can - the access ramp is completely open to blue snipers, but well covered when viewed from blue spawn zone), the same concrete wall prevents you from firing to houses in blue zone.

   3) removing the tunnel leading in the ruined house means less chances to flip enemy tanks while they run for cover. Also - being Red and defending Blue tanks from creeping out - you could shoot their belly while they were climbing out and you faced them one by one. Now its just open flat field with a lot of places for blue to regroup and make assault attack across it.

  4) The now deleted tunnel offered a chance to sneak into Blue base with light hull and surprise all the camping snipers with side attack. Now more complicated (close to impossible)

 

Conclusion:  favours Blue team, favours heavy tanks more than before. Having shaft+viking in house, dictator+Thunder on enlarged platform and maybe one Magnum will cover all Red spawning zones. Than the game is pointless as Reds almost do not have a chance to respawn and fight back.

I rather like the new Rio. But as with almost all the changed maps there are plenty of Magnum camping spots.

I also like that they placed this billboard here to reduce spawn camping.

That was special thing in Polygon CP.

 

If you wanna think beyond go point, go in other maps.

And to add a point: There were an awful lot of people that liked playing Polygon as it was with one point.  It would fill up faster than any other map.  It was a slaughter-fest, but that is why it was FUN!  Now it is just another boring map like all the other boring maps...homogenized into sameness for Tankis unfathomable purposes.

R.I.P me I thought X3 Mission chain rewards were gone. Now i will only get like 2.5k crystals :( and like 16 health, 45 of every thing else. I thought that was normal but noooo. Please keep this, it's helping me a lot.

I do not like these new maps you made, they are not challenging any more for battles , I find that seeing there is no holes in maps and its now a flat boring surface it leaves little to the battles .. its like were playing snakes and ladders , you go up then go right back down to main level no interest in the map . bring back old maps there we had challenging times to maneuver around holes in grounds like a real field is , and not when the world was flat..
