Updated maps and X3 Mission chain rewards

Everything is always a total blowout on all the new Daily Mission maps.  You are either on the winning side or you are slaughtered with almost no reward for completing a 15 minute game.  100% discouraging.

 

All the maps are all about the same now.  All have too many players...10 per side is sooooooo very far from "ideal".

 

With Vulcan, I can't stay alive long enough after spawning to get my turret to turn.  It is obsolete in Standard battles now and useless for Missions.

 

Thunder, Rail, maybe Shaft (Smoky should do well, but haven't seen many for some reason) all on heavy hulls like Titian are the only thing that works on these maps.  Light hulls are just fodder and even Viking and Hunter get chewed up like they are M0 wasps.

 

Tanki is like some Evil Energizer Bunny...it just keeps getting worse and worse and worse and worse.

Wrong, since the Repair kit update the overall number of players has slowly increased. 

 

Before it we averaged around 35k players per day. In the (rough) 4-6 months (I think) that it's been released we have gained around 5k more players for each day. So we currently sit at around a max of 40k a day. (Obviously more on weekends / special events)

Yes there's a small bounce, but that is only when talking about peak numbers, I'm seeing lower and lower off peak numbers. 

 

I'm not sure if you're implying that the Repair Kits update has helped a little, I think what helped stop the bleeding was the shortening of the rank bracket, and I think if they reduce the bracket to 5 ranks long all the way it would help a lot.

I think you are 100% right.  Nerfing the Repair Kit was another negative update only designed to sell more repair kits.  if anything it drove a few players away.  Reducing the rank brackets made game play a little less one sided and gave lower ranked players a bit more of a chance.  And, as you say, they are still too wide everywhere except the very lowest ranks.

Sad to say my interest in one of my favorite map Industrial Zone ended up, Enjoy Magnums :)

I liked the old Industrial Zone, this one I don't care anymore. 

 

Massacre seems perfect for Magnums too, they just need a little more time to discover it. 

 


 

I have an idea, what if they remove all drop boxes from top floors to middle and bottom floors, that may balance the game. And then move DAs and DDs closer to the bases, to help against spawn killings.

The X3 Mission chain rewards must stay in Tanki Online permanently because non-buyers like me can benefit from the extra crystals from weekly mission chains. X3 mission chain rewards is a good amount for players of any rank, so this triple weekly reward must become the normal reward for Tanki Online.

 

The X3 mission chains image below looks like this:

The red text that you see here in the image must be removed and the X3 mission chain rewards must become a permanent feature of Tanki Online.

 

The developers must think and realize that not all Tanki Online players can afford to buy crystals, so my suggestion is to permanently keep the X3 mission chain rewards once it for all. I am not a buyer of crystals. Now that I (RIDDLER_8) earn X3 mission chain rewards, I can now afford more expensive micro upgrades for turrets, hulls and protection modules, something that I could not do with previous reward size.

 

From what I witness right here, the X3 mission chains does not do any harm to the economy of Tanki Online. Players are so delighted with the X3 mission chains, as well as the reworked 24 maps and the new Yorkshire map.

 

Another feature which we had during Black Friday 2017, was the black gold boxes and containers. I would also like to have black gold boxes and containers to be added to Tanki Online as a permanent feature, for some extra cool surprises and goodies.

 

I have heard in V-Log 154 that Assault Mode will become a permanent battle mode in the 24 reworked maps, including Yorkshire. That is such good news. I have asked for this twice already during the past two years during the Happy New Year Celebrations.

 

I want all those wonderful rewards to make a comeback, but this time, to stay permanently in Tanki Online.

 

Lets give tankers features that they like the most!!!

You say 2014/15 when you know that just a few months back we had more players. 

 

But the point was that after all the fancy stuff the numbers are still low. Right now 12800, you can doubt the reasons, but you know the truth.  :P

I joined the game in mid-2015 so I don't really know what it was like before then. It's not fancy stuff, its how you gather accurate data.

Has anyone noticed that the map 'thumbnails' in the lobby don't actually match the new maps? I think Yorkshire is just the old Kungur. A lot of effort expended there then...

Correct, a preview of the map Yorkshire hasn't been added yet.

None of the new previews have been added as far as I can see. Perhaps they aren't bothering because they are planning to give us back most of the old, well-loved maps after all ;) (Here's hoping anyway.)

 

Actually, they can leave Yorkshire - don't mind having a 'new' regular map. Just leave the old stuff.

 

IT wasn't bust, why fix it?

 


By the way, I'm sure x3 rewards will go eventually. As any pusher knows, you build the drugs habit and when we;re addicted they will try to make us pay real money

Played the new Polygon in CTF Mode this morning. Forget ‘change’ - that’s a completely different map.

 

I had always loooked at Polygon as a war between the two platforms, mostly for control of the CP point in the center pit. Now, those platforms are mostly useless and honestly I never went near them during the battle I played. Instead the added areas and the movement of the flags into those areas change the map from a North-South feel to an East-West feel (if ya feel me :D).

 

I liked it. I will miss the inverted flag positions of old Polygon CTF, but this is the first updated map I’ve played on which actually felt new. It’s that different.

Missions are a pain now omg. More than before the updated maps, I don't know why.

 

All the stupid russian druggers in the same team with 4 isidas, and the other team is garbage with only 2 druggers. CTF always ends like 7-0 or 10-0. Just a joke.

In Rio new map, we know where red flag lies in old Rio map, there why did developers add stairs to go above that ramp ??? Its heavily favors Magnums of blue side, they coming from blue side top & settles in that top of old Rio map red flag & blew away everything below in new red flag Rio map.

 

Remove that stairs to go up please!  :angry:

Lol I just mine the ramp and shaft from up there. If there's no ppl at flag just jump down and take it :D

Just now finished ny1st CTF polygon game. It was a blast. Vulcan/Wasp OMG was able to pour fire into enemies all over from  where the new RK drops.  Of course yo are right in the open too. Had almost 30 kills but also was killed nearly as much in return. Bottom line was a fun game on a map with all sorts of new firing angles to consider.

Had an Osa CTF game with a god team who played well to cooperate. But they had two Isaida / Hornets and we had none.  We held at 1-0 for a good while but they just wear you down. Then they come at you full of ODs. We ended up losing 4 or 5 to nada.

.. the same why you do not see Smoky around anymore. After they nerfed it, you need to place 5 good hits to kill enemy tank. With all the splash damage from Magnums firing like mad everywhere you simply do not stay alive long enough. Hornet+smoky was my favourite combo. One needed to be swift and aim well. But now you are killed by enemy you do not even see.

 

EDIT:  I have played new Rio and Highways and Forest now and IMHO all the "updates" lead to more straighforward game. A lot more troll-like "go fire go fire go fire", a lot less tactics and hit and run game. In Highways, the removed parts behind the houses were perfect for defenders to regroup and try to fight back after the front part of the base was conquered, or, when attacking, be one lonely marksman, slip behind, hide, and then to take defenders one by one in ninja style. This added nice aspect to that map, but now it is missing. 

 

BTW has anyone from the TO staff explained why they did the changes?

Sure grind away. Players grinding do not hurt me.

 

My issue is those games account for 95% of all Pro games. There's at least 5-6 grindathon maps and they dominate the Pro section every time I look.

 

On Black Friday there were a lot of people with Premium passes. I looked at the CP games. there were about 55 games active.. all of them on 3 maps. 40 of them Polygon the rest Noise and Sandbox IIRC. So I will take any improvement in adding diversity I can get.

Actually, players grinding would hurt you. Those who spend some of the time grinding, some working on skill will have far more cry, unless you buying, and this turns into higher MU levels and more power. Aside from DM, Tanki is a team sport, to state the obvious. The contest of skill strategy and tactics you are looking for can only take place in Clan battles in any event
