Upgradable single protection paints

 Share

Recommended Posts

As tanki 2.0 release approaches and all paints will be obsolete in regard of the rumored Shaft gun, I have an idea - upgradeable single protection "sinprot" paints.

Thats it - combine one protection only with the M0-M1-M2-M3 upgrade schema of upgrades for armor and turrets. Currently there are 3 sinprot paints - Dirty (Firebird protection), Swamp(Twins protection), Carbon(Smoky protection). Why not make paint protections against the rest of the guns? I would like to see sinprot protection against the rest corresponding weapons

Proposed protection value of a sinprot for levels: M0=10%, M1=25%, M2=40%, M3=60%.

Pros:

- strong at M2-M3 level against the corresponding weapon

- the paints never become obsolete in regard of new guns

- will bring diversity at gameplay - players can combine different protections as a team for maximum offense / defense effect

- to the usage of all types of guns will be given rebirth again - for example Firebird M3 + M3 sinprot "antifreeze" can successfully attack M3 Freezes, M3 Smoky + M3 sinprot "antithunder" can take down M3 Thunders.

Cons:

- mighty marshals and high officers ranks may go pissed with their half-degraded firepower :)

The cost for upgrades I leave to the developers.

No vote, because i want upgradable paints, but not upgradable sinprot paints. So my idea of paints would be something like this:

m0 (1000 crystals): 10% rail 10% twins

m1 (3k crystals): 17% rail 25% twins 10% thunder

m2, m3 and even m4 cost more and have better rail twins and thunder protection all the way. So you get the idea. That would be my version of upgradable paints. But not sinprots.

Nice' date=' When was the last time you upgraded the paint in your house? :|[/quote']

for that matter, when was the last time you bought double armour plates that automatically affix to your tank immediately and then run out after 60 seconds?

And you, where in real life have you seen fantasy tanks, costing fiction crystals, like these at Tanki? :x

I've tried to be helpful, but obviously, you moderators are capable only of sarcasm and rudeness. The game IMO in 2-3 months will be totally dull and boring, as players will use one and the same small subset of armor, guns and paints.

I stop posting anymore at this forum, as it does not deserve my attention. Congratulations, Moderators, you succeeded to drive away a gamer.

On my side the donation for this game has stopped.

PS. I'll play for a while, but already have pre-ordered my box of Crysis2.

Nevertheless I wish you luck with Tanki, you will definitely need it.

the numbers were just random to give a general feel to the idea.... not an exact figure that I wanted.

Its not fair for tundra

Tundra (3000)

Railgun-18%

Twins-5%

Total: 21%

Dragon (3000)

FireBird-36%

Twins-15%

Isida-5%

Thunder-5%

Total: 61%

Roger (3000)

Smoky-20%

Twins-22%

Railgun-5%

Ricochet-5%

Total:52%

All 3 cost 3000 crystals but Roger and Dragon have Protecting against 4 weapons while poor tundra has only 2

And compare the totals Roger-52% Dragon-61% Tundra-21%??

21% while Dragon is almost triple the total?

That is not fair for tundra.

People, Paints are already over powered. We don't want them to become more powerful. And by the way, Tundra protects against Railgun by 18% which is just enough to survive M3 rail shots.

If you would like to upgrade paints, then why not just buy a better one?

This has been suggested numerous times before, and it got rejected all the time.

AFAIK, separating appearance and protection is already planned in 2.0. Paints should be priced depending only on how cool they look (or maybe how efficient they are in hiding you).

The weapons the other 2 protect against are not as good as having 18% protection from a Railgun.

18% Railgun protection is better than 36% Firebird protection in most cases (Playing on small maps may be an exception).

You can not determine how good a paint is based only on its total percentage. You must base it on what weapons it protects against as well.

As for the poll, I think having paints that protect against only one weapon with varying levels of protection may be a good idea, but I would want each of those paints to be different, not upgradable. For example, instead of 1 paint the has 4 levels of protection as you upgrade it, the would be 4 different paints that provide 1 level of protection each.

36% percent Firebird is worth way more than 18% rail because:

-Firebird gradually's Decrease your HP and has a quick reload

-Railgun has a LONG reload which gives the victim time to attack back while firebird just keeps burning and then it runs out but reloads quick back up

-30% resistance against firebird is giving a M3 firebird 24 DPS to 16 DPS which is worse than a M2 fire! and a M0 Firebird will be 8 DPS.

-Tundra is useless really when you use hornet and up against M3 rails you still die in 2 M3 rail shots,But likely you'll survive 2 M2 rail shots

-5% twins is useless it decreases a 5-7 a shot to 4-6.29 Damage per shot

I don't see anyone over the rank of Warrant Officer 4 using Firebird. That renders my Dragon useless in pretty much every game I play. 18% railgun is almost always preferable because so many more people use railguns.

Railgun can attack you from places where you cant attack back.

Tundra is useful with M0-M1 Hornet, M0-M2 Viking, M3 Dictator, M0 Mammoth.

Because all of them will survive shots of Railgun. The hornet will survive the M3 Shots, while the Vikings will survive two M2 Railgun shots and M2 Viking will survive 2 M3 Rail shots. Similarly with Dictator and Mammoth.

I've used Tundra for over a month before switching to prodigi. And I know that its not useless. If so, Then why is it the protection paint most people use? Including you, cablaz.

A: Because before hornet and 2.0 tanks came out people used dictator M3 with tundra which survives 2 M3 rail shots and now that more tanks are out most people dont wanto change from there dictator M3 yet and still use tundra which can survive 2 M3 rail shots at times.

ME: I got tundra because it grant my hornet M1 a chance to survive 1 M3 rail shot then as i got M3 hornet tundra is useless against M3 rails but i'm not saying its useless against rails its just useless against M3 rail but the rail population is decreasing and i'm considering to get rustle...or prodigi...
