Prevent turrets from sinking into the ground

Recommended Posts

Nice idea, however I agree with Adriel and Black that only the main part of the turret should get a hotbox, otherwise having the whole turret as a would object would instantly kill some of the many tactics used in format games. But then again, new strategies will be made which is always a good thing to hear.

Turrets must become solid objects so that flipped tanks can manage to flip themselves back onto their track by themselves or by the help of team mates.

Yes, that's what developers must do to make turrets flip tanks back on their tracks.

That is not possible. Real tanks can not unflip themselves. They need an ally vehicle to help them.

In War Thunder, flipped tanks can be unflipped by a rope. The possibility of the unflip is based on the engine power and weight of helping tank and on the weight of flipped tank. Heavy tanks are bad in both situations - unflipping and being flipped.

In Adriel.RB's video, in each sequence the turret sinks into the ground, making up righting the tank impossible. But I get the idea.

BlackWasp777 is right about the walls. If the tank can't sink into the ground, then the turret can't go through walls, either. BTW, those of you who are not Shaft users, give this a thought. When your turret is buried in a wall, it's sticking out the other side and can be seen by Shaft in scope mode.
