Don't remove kill after equipment change

Recommended Posts

dont remove a kill after changing equipment and self-destructing. the whole reason that a kill is removed is so people wont self instead of letting the enemy get the kill. but will people change equipment so the enemy wont get a kill? i dont think so. . .

I never noticed. I'll have to go into a DM, make a few kills, then change equipment to see if my kills go down.

=============================================================================================

I went into a DM with Twins, got 5 kills and changed to Firebird. When I got back into battle and auto destructed because of equipment change, I still had 5 kills.

I just tested it in both DM and TDM. In DM you lose a kill and gain a death, in TDM you lose 5 score, lose a kill and gain a death.

In DM, I didn't lose anything. I changed with 5 kills and still had 5 kills after equipment change and auto destruct. Do I sense an inconsistency here?

I think it’s because you killed an opponent when he/she is lower than half health so it’s not really you who killed the opponent it’s just that you gave he/she the last shot so they count it as you who killed he/she then after you died they will remove that one kill(which happened to me many times)

You should test again.

Sometimes I don't lose kill on auto-selfdestruct of equip change. Don't know it's a bug or update....

Happens to me as well, not sure, I self-destruct, and I lose nothing and if I self-destruct the second time, I lose 1 kill as usual or sometimes I actually lose 1 kill but it just doesn't show in the score so the second time I self-destruct it will show 2 deaths so it counts the previous

You should test again.

Been happening to me as well for a loooong time now, obviously it doesn't work like this all the time but there are a lot of times it happened to me, heck I even took a video of it, not sure if I can find it, it is known thing.

 one.

You should test again.

I tested it again, twice.

First time, I started with Twins and after 7 kills, I was destroyed and I hit Pause before I respawned. Changed weapons to Firebird. Came back and didn't auto destruct. Still had 7 kills.

Second time, I had 5 kills with Twins. I was destroyed, fully respawned then hit "G" for garage. While the garage was loading, I was destroyed. Changed to Firebird, came back to the battles, but didn't auto destruct. Still had 5 kills.

Edit: I tried it a third time. I started with Firebird got 10 kills. After I was destroyed and respawned, I found a hiding place. I hit the Garage button at the top. Changed to Twins, came back into battle and auto destructed. I lost one kill.

All of the above was done on DM.

Ok, if you do that, then obviously you won't lose a kill, since you didn't self-destruct. In both of your cases you were killed by someone else, so you didn't self-destruct and it doesn't make sense for you to lose a kill. The topic is only talking about the self-destruction that happens because of equipment change.

Read my Edit.

Well yeah, that's exactly how it's supposed to work.

In your first post you said that you "auto-destructed" and did NOT lose any kills, but now you auto-destructed and DID lose a kill, so was your first observation incorrect?

Also read post # 4. That was done the same way and I didn't lose any score.

Died, respawned, hit garage, changed weapons, came back into battle, auto destruct. Didn't lose any kills.

Every single one of them is a duplicate of an already existing idea. Did you at least try to look for it before posting?

P.S. Nickname is short for "Mafioso", which was my previous nickname.
