But what I am asking is if tanki considers their Vlogs copyright and if I will get in trouble if I use a 2 sec clip of it.

Maybe...but to be safe ask Nive in PM that will he allow you to take 2 sec from vlog and if he agree ..then no need to fear

You can use part of the V-LOG, because the V-LOGs are owned by Tanki. Now if were to use part of a video clip of a famous artist, then you'd be using copyrighted content. Since it says in the main announcement "All of the rights to the video are transferred to the contest organizer upon submitting the video through the special contest form." that would basically mean Tanki is using copyrighted content. 

Sergei already said that you could use part of a V-LOG in your entry, as long as it's not the main part of the video.

As Coop explained far better than me, using V-LOG is absolutely OK, just make sure it's not 90% of your video :)

 

What I meant by copyrighted is that you can't just splice in movies, music videos and other copyrighted footage.

Copyright is the right to make copies of the creative work of an individual. A copy right can be obtained from a particular county's National Intellectual property office or department. This prohibits anyone from making copies or  using any part of tanki online's vlog Since it has been copyrighted. I dont know what tanki onlines policy on copyrighted content is, but usually people can use a music video for 25 years, if its under a copyright.

 

So basically, everything in the v-log is a part of tanki online's copyright policy.,
