Assault Mode arrives December 13th

Guns better for assault

1. Magnum - able to easily shell points where there are concentrations of tankers

2. Firebird-rushing into concentrated areas and clearing them up.

3. Twins- infinite ammunition is wasted unless there are lots of targets

 

Guns better for defense

1. Shaft- the targets will be coming to you.

2. Railgun- penetration certainly helps against attack trains

3. Freeze- slows down attackers running up the flags

4.  Vulcan- switch between multiple attackers, can hold a certain spot

5. Thunder- Splash is too risky for assault, and you have to occupy line of sight for bombardment

 

Guns for both:

1. Smoky

2. Ricochet

3. Striker

4. Hammer

5. Isida- there will always be defenders to heal, but sticking to a single attacker and healing them works well on the red side too.

 

Certainly I think assault mode will help alleviate some of the stigma for low k/d's. :)

Dude, blue side can't defend with the turrets you mentioned coz red side will also have those turrets, if red side can kill those isidas hiding behind fat hulls, then no force can stop red side to gain victory because you forget protection modules of 35% above. Major difference will be magnum. I predict it will be magnum vs magnum. Magnums can attack as well as defend with isidas healing behind them with contribution from Freeze. You can't kill a running wasp easily.

 

You made it easier for Magnum users since they'll will be focusing their shots on one spot, dont think its gonna be much fun

People will switch team but not always blue base, coz I feel in some maps, blue side will have more advantage than red side. We only saw Assault mode only in Yorkshire map which have lot of entry points for red players, but now it is releasing for all maps which will benefit blue side more. Red side will have to come all the way from red flag to blue point whereas blue side will sit around points & defend. Its a win-win for blue side for maps other than Yorkshire map. If U target red flag with shaft & kill whoever try to take flag, blues will sit and win the match easily. Just mark my words.

You're missing the point.  Certain turrets are better suited for attack and defense and you'd be better off joining the side that benefits and complements your turret more.  So, red side will probably not have the same turret breakdown.

 

Both sides will have protection modules- so they can be left out of the picture.

 

Of course- the primary goal is to kill Isidas- but not just defending ones, but those hugging the attackers as they run the flags.

Magnums can defend but no reasonable Magnum would choose defending over attacking.  When Magnum attacks there are easy targets for it to hit (the points), but defending Magnums have to adjust for individual attackers.  And freeze is more effective for defending as it slows down attackers.

 

Also, why would Isidas heal Magnums? Magnums take the least damage- least score for Isidas.

You can't kill a running wasp easily.

Wasps are easy to kill and/or flip, especially when they are running straight at you.

i think both teams will had fun because now the magnum's and the alt's will change the game. and don't forget that will be Droppers (like me,add me for inv) thats will make it more fun  :)  :)  :)  :)

Alot of people are talking about Magnum. If this keeps going, Magnum may be banned for the assault mode. But first we need to test Magnum in assault mode to see how it will affect the blue team. If blue team can stand against Magnum, i think they have to plan an strategy in order for them to win!

Matchmaking, another thing promised, will be in the when?

Matchmaking system is a big step for both; us and devs. They already said they are going to slowly intruduce each update that regards to the matchmaking system which will allow them to track the game and see if everything is going alright. They already introduced re-worked maps which is a small step towards the matchmaking system but still very important. They also introduced the battles filter, oh whatever that is and that's another step to matchmaking system. The best thing now is to be patient about the Matchmaking system because I'm sure they will introduce it in the next few months or at least be very close to.

What about the missions and the achievements? will they be updates because of the new mode too ?

If the mode stay in the game permanently they will probably make new achievements/missions for it.

Matchmaking, another thing promised, will be in the when?

It will come don't worry but i think developers are working on HTML5 right now.

Assault with overdrive on should be interesting to see.

Attackers prepare your spider modules.

Defenders prepare to be pounded by Magnumsss.

But what if defenders ARE Magnums, constantly firing at their only point and not letting anyone cap?

 

Either way I'm gonna be playing magnum regardless which team I'm on :D
