Assault Mode arrives December 13th

I have a question.

 

how to play thus assault mode?

Using the play button

or 

using the battle list

Ikr right. I just played to earn crystals in CTF and complete one mission, then I left. It's a pain to play. I can't enjoy the premium earned from the crazy week end too.

You know the best part? It's only my GoldBox account having this problem. Why? because it has free Premium active. I played a game on my other account Maloo in the exact same battle. Guess what? It was fine, slight lag but it never crashed/froze/lagged out on me. After that I went back to GoldBox and pretty much everything I just mention happened.

 

Funny? I think not. Fishy? Certainly...

U dont seem to understand how magnum works :/

Check my profile and see how many hours I use Magnum. Different players play in different way, some lazy kids love multing, sit in your base & fire shots, while there are others run in, come close to enemy location & fire shots so that they could deal maximum damage to camping enemies to give extra advantage to their own teammate flag-holder.

Happens in CTF too. No big deal. It's even less of a deal when you realise that each flag is worth only 3 points, out of the 100-point cap. So it seems like devs expect red team to capture 30+ flags in one round in order to win, therefore not capping one flag because of the time limit shouldn't make much of a difference.

 

Might be wrong though, will have to test tomorrow.

One thing I wonder though, wouldn't this mode be a lot more difficult on lower ranks due to tanks moving slower and therefore being less capable of capturing enough flags quickly in order to compete with blue?

Well, in CTF that might happen every 15 min.  2x as much if you have "half-time".

 

As for more difficult?

Not at my W01 account - not with the amount of supplies used in the two battles I was in.  Seemed unprecedented for that rank.

AS mode is perfectly balanced this time. Wherever I joined, I see blue team winning, they camp around a single point & kill whoever coming. Yes in some maps, Red team also winning but they have to work hard. Blue team score faster than red team, a slight delay in capturing flags may lead blue team to victory. Its great fun. I joined red team in last 3 matches & helped my team win with Hornet+Magnum+Double damage, I just blew everyone lol & yes I come as close to enemy camping as possible to extract maximum kills.

Well, I just played assault for a bit and from first impressions I gotta say that it's more balanced than I thought it would be. Red team won a few times on different maps and so did blue. The maps really do seem to have a massive role in which side will be more likely to win. On some it's easier to defend, on some it's easy to attack.

  • On Massacre the point is inside the base area and everyone spawns right there. It's easy to see enemies approaching and even if you don't take them out then, you can just block them with your tank.
  • On Solikamsk the point is positioned in the middle of the blue base, so it creates an interesting gameplay tactic where light hulls can jump onto the point with the flag from above, forcing blue to mine all the ledges around the point.
  • On Wolfenstein there's 4 flags and 4 directions which enemies can come from, which makes it really difficult to defend, especially if red team has Magnums, which are constantly lobbing bombs into your base.
  • Forest seems pretty balanced, as it also has multiple access point from all directions, but only two flags.

Magnum does seem to be the most effective turret for both teams. It's especially useful if blue team are all crowded together and don't have many Magnum modules. In that case it's good to have 2-3 Magnums camping mid-field and constantly firing at the point to clear the defenders.

 

I'll probably do a more detailed guide later, like how I did for the map changes.

Hmmmm. My account with the Premium from the container thingie also was the only one to get "An Error Occurred Re-Enter the game".

Imagine that. The OP turret has an OP effect. 

 

Played one game on Wolfenstein and two on Year 2024. I am already bored with the format. It's pretty much Poly CP write large.

Played one battle in Highland map. This map is perfect slaughter-house for blue team, just join red team, sit on those ramps on both sides with magnum to blew away ground & striker to kill fat hulls. Easiest map for red team among others  :lol:  :lol:  :lol:

How can you say Forest map balanced ?? It favors red team in every battle, see before I join at 7 minutes, blue team leading us by a better margin, I joined with magnum & blew the middle area, then at the end, all left & see my score playing only 7 minutes without capturing a single flag. At one point, we red team players bring the blue point area under our control.

Agree with you with these two points. In almost all maps I played, it favors red team only, I just switching sides  :lol:  :P

Got mission earn 150 crystals in CP mode, joind year 2042 CP, there are many spots where we go and we self destruct :l

Polygon map heavily favors red team if playing with brain, just kill those fat hulls in the middle with strikers & sit on upper ramp with magnum+shaft, U can own blue point  ;)  :P

AS? Assault has two 's'.

 

I don't like it, please don't consider it for the holiday event. I can play it but it's boring and predictable.

yesterday

People will switch team but not always blue base, coz I feel in some maps, blue side will have more advantage than red side. We only saw Assault mode only in Yorkshire map which have lot of entry points for red players, but now it is releasing for all maps which will benefit blue side more. Red side will have to come all the way from red flag to blue point whereas blue side will sit around points & defend. Its a win-win for blue side for maps other than Yorkshire map. If U target red flag with shaft & kill whoever try to take flag, blues will sit and win the match easily. Just mark my words.
