Divide players by equipment modification, rather than rank

Indeed in this kind of room, we should balance better the situation in combat, however this will not replace anything its just another type of room.

 

I prefer to suggest ideas as an addition to what's already in game rather than replace.

Here is how I think this should be sorted.

All players get an M-score composed of the following:

1. Their turret MUs (M0 is 0, M1 is 10, M2 is 20, M3 is 30, M4 is 50)

2. Their hull MUs (same rules apply)

3. Their Protection module MUs (multiplied by the number of slots and divided by 6)

So, this player would most likely be playing M2s

The problem with this system as noted from another game with upgradeable equipment called War Robots, is that unless there are zero flaws in it a loophole will be found and seal clubbing will happen. Like some people say about using mixed modification levels. It's already annoying to encounter players who are obviously not on the same level in lower ranked matches, which is why I believe they should introduce a system based on individual merit instead of just equipment. Having the bigger sword doesn't always make you the better fighter, right?

Correct. MMS will divide players according to rating, which takes into account the following:

1. Equipment modification + MUs.

2. Drugging level.

3. Average position on leaderboard.

4. Rank.

5. Protections + MUs

this is a bad idea. and it ruins the point of buying. if someone could just stay playing with recruit ranks, why should they stop??

also then all of the buyers would be playing together and then they would stop buying because they would see that it doesnt do anything for them because now they just need to play with better people.

This is true if this system would replace the old one, but as i said some post ago, it is an additional option, so there will be same rooms like now.

 

Its only another type of room that you can create in pro battles. Players who dont like this kind of rooms can play to rank filtered battles exactly the same like now.

No no, you will have your turrets / hull downgraded, so if you have for example m3 turret  + m3 viking, in m2 balanced battle your equipment will become (only here) m2 clear?

 

You dont need to get turrets / hull to join these rooms.

 

If someone got m0 turret + m3 hull (its very rare situation) he can play only in m0 battles as m0 hull / m0 turret so hull will be downgraded for that room

Ok guys i think it could be nice idea to force module zero protection (no protection) in balanced room. 

 

So there will not be the problem for new players with few protection modules.

 

Battles without protection modules and with balanced equipment could be a funny option to try :)

Hmm if i understood clearly this could allow an m3 noob player to play in m2 or m1 rooms with his m3 equip, this can be a problem.

Yea he is noob but this gives too much power to him, i would prefer equipment filter.

However, I agree with this. I, as one of the best players in the game, do not want to just play against other good players. I want to wreck noobs.

Well when you want a balanced battle you play in these rooms, if you want to play against noobs there will be still the old style rooms no matter.

Problems here, what if just change my equipment after the battle begin?

What's the problem? You can change as you wish, in these rooms equipment is downgraded automatically for room battle class, so you can change all you want, if it is M2 battle your equipment will be always m2.

 

If you dont have m2 equipment you cant join that battle so this thing works only as downgrade and not as upgrade of course.

 

So m1 tankers will not be able to join  m2 battles.

 

I repeat here that if you have for example m1 hull and m2 turret, the lesser will be your class tyoe. So you will be able to join only m1 balanced rooms and with m2 turret downgraded as m1.

 

If you dont like this, simply you can always go to play normal rooms with classic filter by rank only ;)

Battle with same modifications instead of rank

 

I think that instead of letting people into battles by rank, it should be so that only people with the same modification can battle with each other in a certain map so that the battles would be fairer.

I have some m0/m1 gear left over in my garage when I started. If this proposal is adopted I can equip it and go off to combat recruits.

 

They have 0 drugs. I have thousands. I win every single one of these "perfectly balanced" matches.

 

This idea is a griefer's wet dream. I am 99.9% confident the TO devs understand this. This idea is DOA.

When a pro player wants to demolish noobs, he makes an alt account. It is basically the same as if you fought them with your M0 garage on legend rank. Rank≠skill.

And there could be rank brackets to prevent high ranks fighting with beginners. Wider rank brackets.

No! This makes it terrible for people who are less experienced and need to improve in the game.

I still have m0 turrets and hulls on my account, and I could easily micro-upgrade them to M1 but still have them "technically" m0. I also have my large supply of drugs at my rank, while people who have just started playing don't have anything.

This shouldn't be in any connection with the newbys, just for experienced players who want to use their low MUed tanks. I have a garage full of M0s, this would be a good way to dust them off and put them to some use. This isn't a way to MU an M0 to M3. You can MU an M0 to 10/10, but if the M1 is locked out because of your rank, you still can't get it. If the M1 hasn't been locked out, yet, then this would be like playing a regular battle. But once you convert that M0 to an M1, you're locked out of the M0 battles.
