Genuine or hacking?

Recommended Posts

Need help.  Just witnessed a Major in Polygon CTF with a Wasp M1 that is EXCEPTIONALLY quick.  We're not talking M3 speed, but literally 30-40m/s quick.  Impossible even with Overdrive or supplies.

On a number of occasions he's travelled across the flag area with front end up as if doing wheelies.

Did two games and it's been the same on a number of times over both games so not a glitch.

Don't know if this is a hacker or what, but I've got his profile up.

Any suggestions? Is it something that needs reporting?

Probably speed hacking, but you'll need to show them hacking a few times, not just once or twice. It's really hard to ban a speed hacker because laggers can act in a similar way.

Give it a shot. ;)

Thanks Lukey.  I can't find him in any games at the moment.  He was on just before the server restart and probably not hanging around too long each time in case he's got on video.

It was definitely not lag, as everyone else was all moving at the normal speed.  Plus he was doing it all the way through two games.

It's odd.

The speedhacker Hot*****e had a Wasp. Been watching out for him in all the CTF matches ever since.

Last night I didn't find him, but I did find one of the Black Friday jump hackers, [REL]q*****1, again with a Wasp.

That bar steward stole a gold right in front of me on Solikamsk.

Funny what u find.  Hackers can't hide.

^I suggest you put on a recorder everytime gold drops. That way, catching gold hackers will be much easier.

Yes, but Hot*****e wasn't going for golds.  He was using it to steal flags, so I'd have to to video every game.

That's why I'm trying to find him in a game then I'll dive in with video recording.

But you're right, videoing every game is about the only way to catch these bast**ds in the act.

Usually, I can't tell a speed hacker from a lagger. Several times I have seen a tank sitting behind me, but off to one side. I start shooting and he suddenly speeds past in front of me, about the same distance as he was behind me. He pauses for a second or two, while I'm still firing on him and making damage points. Then he suddenly speeds past me again to the point where he first started out. I'm still firing and making damage points. He pauses for a second or two then speeds past me to the point he was the second time. I'm still firing and making damage points and finally destroy him. This usually happens when I'm using Vulcan.

A couple times, i've seen a player zig-zag across the map at break neck speed.

I saw a jump hack in Brest Blue building. Both flags had been stolen. Two teammates and I were in blue building doing some spawn killing. Our flag bearer, apparently, was killed and blue flag returned. Just then, before one of us could grab the flag, the blue flag bearer entered the building from the front. We fired at him, but just as we fired, he used a jump hack and landed on his own flag.

It's true. You almost have to record every battle to catch hackers.
