Ideas for the Garage!

I would not gain much of a benefit from this idea, as the cathegories will not help me so much.

I would rather profit more from an idea, that offers a filter where I can select which protections I like to see (I tick Firebird, Twins and Striker) and it lists me the modules that I own and that I can purchase that fit on those three / that fit close on just two of the selected ones.

You can also use the search bar.

UPDATE: now I get what you're saying, maybe as option number 3. I like it :)

So can I post your quote in my main post as a way to improve the organization of modules?

Can you also change the title to "module organization improvements"? Thanx

Most Tanki items need a change in description. For example the mammoth is now beaten on armour at M1 and M2 by Titan, so it's description needs changing. Viking is also no longer "incredibly stable". The railgun's description needs a change as well, as new players may think that they need to use it to be a professional. As it is difficult to master, this would be very confusing.

Wasp: less popular than hornet but clearly better.

Hornet: terrible stats but still popular (compared to wasp)

Hunter: finally getting the love but it's too strong

Dictator: how to spell terrible D-I-C-T-A-T-O-R

Viking: hahahahha finally no longer best hull but UP call it hornet II,stability is so bad you can't hit anything

Mammy- Titan's servant

Titan- finally getting love but now it's completely better than mammy

Well just my opinion

This one's pretty accurate - you not only need to be a scientist, but learn all sorts of theories and master yourself in different branches of physics to master this turret. Also, "Theory of the Strength of Materials"

Here is the most accurate and updated description of hulls.

Viking: clearly underpowered.

Dictator: way too OP.

Hunter: OP.

Titan: the real fortress.

Mammoth: the fake fortress.

Hornet: you're better off using wasp.

Wasp: clearly better than hornet.

Seems perfect to me :/

viking, hunter, and dictator all share the same amount of armor but dictator is the slowest yet that somehow makes it OP? also viking is still the fastest medium hull at m3..

Hello everyone, today I am back with another idea, let's go:

This idea will be helpful if the tanker is not able to find the preferred module that he or she wants. My idea is basically explained in this example:

1) A player wants to buy the Kodiak T-B module but the list in the garage is so long and he can't find his desired module.

2) After the update has been implemented, the player presses the "Modules" button.

3) Then, instead of showing all bought and unbought modules, he sees 4 buttons "Single", "Double", "Triple", and "Owned".

3)  So, the player clicks on "Triple" and then sees 7 buttons, each of them has the name of a module like "Lion", for instance.

4) Finally, the player clicks on "Kodiak" and sees all the Kodiak T-...  modules and then buys the one he wants.

This idea is great as many players are not able to find the module that they want to buy easily.

NOTE: The number of modules varies from one button to another since "Single" modules have 5 types, "Double" modules have 5 types, and "Triple" modules have 7 types.

Thanks for viewing my topic.

Or just have the type of turret the module protects against.

For example: click on Railgun and it brings up all the owned modules that have Railgun protection.

In the garage when we click on the turrent/hull it shows us the info about it. Well through symbols though and some people may just not understand what each symbol means. Hope you're getting what I'm referring to. So my suggestion is that when you place the mouse pointer on the symbol it shows us what it actually means in text. Sorry for any grammatical mistakes.

Thank You!

I agree. It would be nice if a text label appeared when you hover your mouse over each icon. For the time being, you can check what each symbol means in the tanki wiki.

While we are in a battle, the garage should load & show only the items that we own + their alterations.

Items that we do not own yet, should not be loaded. This will make the garage load multiple times faster.

Supplies should be always accessible in order to restock them. Gifts to be sent -> maybe.

Benefits:

- way faster garage loading times. Especially useful in battles.

- less timeout errors during garage load

- less server load

- better game performance

- less people caught in garage loading times, that look like mults in the battle

In the ribbon band that we use to select our gear should be a "show more" button on the right end. If we click it during the battle it should ask "In order to see more, you have to exit the battle and access your garage from the lobby. Do you like to exit the battle now?". Possible answers: A big green button with "stay in battle", small red text with "yes, leave to lobby".

That under review part killed me xD

Aside from that, definitely useful idea that will save some time and might even reduce the time the garage loads.

Are you sure it would increase loading speed? What if most of the loading time is consumed by the interface itself, while the actual items take much less server power to load?

Great idea.

One suggestion, because I know there are players that do like to purchase supplies, kits, or equipment while in the battle.  Perhaps it's an hour-long PRO battle and they just ranked up.

How about making this the default, but optional to turn it off for those players.

P.S.  How long does it normally take for bad computers?  Mine's not a gaming computer and it loads the garage in a few seconds.

It depends on internet speed & server population.

In normal situation when there are not players online, it takes few seconds.

It makes sense that the most time consuming tasks are looping through the database and sending the images of all the items. But since I don't know the game code I can't tell for sure, it's up to the developers to decide anyway so we don't really need to know that.

Thing is, what if you want to buy something while in a game? Sure, it's not common to buy turrets and hulls mid-game, but why would devs remove an option to BUY??? :P

You want to minimize the amount of stuff to download, so you keep only the essential stuff for people who need the garage to load quickly in the battle, which is changing equipment and buying supplies. The rest of the actions (like buying equipment) are rare enough to not worry about players suddenly wanting to do these things in the middle of a battle. If you decided to buy a new piece of equipment you'll be fine with waiting until the battle is over.

Under review

Didn't know you could do that…
