Ideas for the Garage!

Didn't know you could do that…

I can, but it's hard. When i put it under review within 2 minutes or less, my own "under review" post is merged to the inital post by the forum software :p

The images are stored in the cache, so they do not take so long to load.

The 3d models are stored in the cache, and the tiny thumbnail-like pictures of the gear in the ribbin band is only a small amount of data. But if you try on a paint, then it needs the large version of the paint/skin - and there are a lot of paints..

Thing is, what if you want to buy something while in a game? Sure, it's not common to buy turrets and hulls mid-game, but why would devs remove an option to BUY??? :P

as said above the turrets and hulls are only a small amount of data. The modules are technically also not very much data, but I do not know if the modules endless thumbnail pictures are finalised images that are loaded from the server of if they are put together by the garage itself.

I hope the interface itself is a rather small thing. There is not much fancy action in the garage, and the 3d modeling part of the software is already "available" through the game code..

ooo ya.

I hate scrolling through all of my crappy 3/20 equip to get to that m5 rail quickly. I dont want to miss a second when in battle!!

also I have like a bazilion (yes thtas a word) paints so I never see when a new paint is added to the garage. if it werent for the announcements I would have misseed the clan x paints and the social media paints. I almost missed the mop 2017 paint until someone told me about it. I would make a tab for all of my paints and keep the regular paints tab free!

++Good idea

This is a request for a simple display change in the Garage.

Right now the blank module with zero protections is always displayed as the first (or leftmost) module. Next from left to right come modules the player purchased sorted by m-level. Next come the un-purchased modules.

On my display this means I see six modules plus a small bit of a 7th. But one of these 7 is the leftmost zero module.

The suggestion is t move the 'zero' module to become the rightmost of all the owned modules. That would allow Garages to show the 7 most powerful owned modules instead of 6.

It is a very  small concern but OTOH is re-sort to fix. :)

But then there's also players who often switch between Zero and whatever other modules, so your idea would be very inconvenient or them. I think it's best to do what this topic suggests, i.e. allow players to make their own module order.

In a numbers game I would wager the users of NONE plus own 6+ modules are in the vast minority. It would likely help more than it hurts.

That being said an ability to sort one's on garage would of course be even better!

It's just a small idea for a mini issue. If there was not such a simple way to address it I'd not have bothered. ;)

Yeah, I do believe that the garage must be re-arranged properly, and a search feature would really be beneficial so that players can quickly change equipment in battles, rather than waste time to search for a particular turret, hull, module or other feature.

The Garage seems too old fashioned. I'm talking about the outlook. Why not modify it a bit? Like, when I go into the garage, I want to listen to my favorite music which starts automatically. It gives me an "at home" kind of feeling. There should be a banner which would have my name and experience and stuff. What's your take on this idea?

There should be preset categories in the form of folders or special tabs that type of paints can go into

examples:

Animated:

Obviously flow nightmare spectrum holiday lights and synesthesia

Shop:

shop paints...

Holiday:

previously purchased holiday paints (includes paints bought in bundles)

Basic Garage:

paints in the garage that are at the lowest level... white, red, green etc

Medium Garage:

obviously paints ranked better than basic but not truly the best

Advanced Garage:

frost, golden star, etc

Misc:

paints that dont fall into any category, maybe like helper paints, the holiday paint and specator?? idk maybe even synesthesia can go in there too. also includes moonwalker red suite and eternity or maybe those go in a different folder...

I have discovered that it really sucks trying to find the paint you want after i got so many from containers. after having over half of the paints (only missing 44 in the garage) it really is hard to find that one special one yo uhad in mind...

Or (owned) modules could be sorted by the total protection they offer (doing a simmilar thing, but also putting your strongest modules first).

what a genius! this is the best idea i ever heard. there's definately no point for gifts tho. the sections for kits, gifts and special should be removed completely.

There is a point in gifts or else the devs would not implement it in the first place

Suggestion: MU-upgrading on modules - improve information in WIKI

When upgrading MU steps in modules, I noticed a few things which can be improved:

(1) In MU on turrets and hulls, the WIKI shows how much the end goal costs and what MU adds in HP, weight, etc.

This is not present yet in MU upgrading of modules: I have no idea what it will cost in total crystals and I have no idea what MU adds in

     protection.

(2) In MU-upgrading my modules, I have noticed that with modules of 3 or 4 protections against different weapons the MU-steps are not equal.

     Example (abstract level): Prodigi-protection MU step 1 adds + 1 for weapons X-Y-Z; Prodigi-protection MU step 2 adds + 1 for weapon X-Y but

not for Z. Show this clearly to the players in the WIKI. What do I get from MU-ing my protections modules? Now it is a surprise for each step

what will be upgraded, I don't like that, it can be improved.

(3) In MU-upgrading my modules, I have noticed that the initial price for each MU-step +1 differs for different modules without reasonable

explanation (this stil;l excludes the speedups which I never use in MU-ing). Example: step 2 on a module A with 4 protectiosn costs 8700

crystals and step 2 on module B, also with 4 protections costs 5000 crystals. In other words: for each module (equal number of protections

against weapons) the price for each step differs, again without explantion or information.

Please clearify and improve the above mentioned aspects for the players in the WIKI, like it is for turrets and hulls.

Thank you.

I feel like it would be cool if you added little animated workers, working on you tank when ever you Micro Upgrade. Make it look like they are the ones upgrading you tank.

As you rank up, you get bigger and bigger garages.  Now with containers and paint rewards, it is getting even harder to deal with the accumulation and there is no way to sort all the stuff.  Others have suggested selling or just deleting unused equipment or, at the least, make a way to sort equipment...like rearrange each graphic pane.

Here is maybe a new approach and it just couldn't be that hard to code.  Leave all the stuff in the garage right where it is, but have the option of clicking it to make it's pane go dark.

Example: You own a legacy M0 module against Firebird...you now have a triple M3 module that has tons more protection against Firebird along with protection from two other turrets...why would you ever use the M0 Firebird protection again?

Your garage shows a picture of the M0 module that you never ever use.  With the obscure feature, you click the picture of the M0 module and it turns the picture to a solid dark color that matches the majority of the background.  Click the dark obscured pane, and you see your worthless antique Firebird M0 protection module again.

This would help a lot since we are all going to be getting lots of paints from containers and the modules seem to just build up not to mention all that M0 M1 equipment.
