Pulse when taking damage

 Share

Recommended Posts

Recently, I've seen many players complaining that they didn't realise that they were taking damage from an Isida or Smoky. In order to get rid of this problem, perhaps a tank would pulse red when it takes damage or pulse green when it is healed by an Isida. The healing effect would be visible on both teams, while the damage could only be seen by your teammates. You could turn this off in the settings to reduce lag. Similar to what RKs do in TX.

I think it would be a good idea, sometimes. There have been times when I notice an Isida wave behind me. I think, "Oh, thank goodness, we have an Isida. Oh, wait. No. My health bar is going in the wrong direction."

But there are players who are vanity stricken when it comes to their paints. They don't want them smudged for whatever reason. There's one player who wants a slideshow going on all battle long showing off all the paints he has in the garage. That player would have a Big problem with this idea. And there were others who agreed with him.

Indeed, some would have a problem with it; which is why it can be turned off in settings. :)

Good idea. Damage and healing indicators by having pulses is such a good idea. This would be a feature that could be turned on or off in the settings menu, just like the damage number indicators.

If you are being healed by an isida, then you see a green number. Honestly, that situation happens rarely (the isida sneaking up on you), and if you saw it, then isida would be UP.

What about if you take any damage, then you pulse red.

The healing effect would have to be seen from closeby by an enemy, otherwise, snipers would be even more op

Great idea! It indeed is difficult to tell if you are being attacked or healed by an isolated until it is too late, because your teammates sometimes sneak up to you to heal, just like the enemies!

Honestly, from turrets with impact force, they have most times auto shot(when they shot, bullet arrives in a milisecond), my tank rotates and i know i have been shot (turrets like smoky, railgun, thunder, twins, ricochet, striker, magnum, shaft...). For isida, it is just same will you look at your tank and see green/red pulses or to look at that bolt. The only problem is with firebird/freeze. Well, any good tanker would know pretty much do the have 1 fire and 4 freezes or none. After all, thats up to skill how will you react in those situatuons. Is this really needed?

Sometimes, if the bullet/shot hits the center of your tank, it won't move it very much if you have forward or backward momentum. Besides, this is optional. Thanks for the feedback, though :)

You should be paying attention to your surroundings though. There is an indication of a shot

People need to pay attention to their health bar. They should notice if there is isida killing them. It's their fault for not noticing it. By the time that they do, it's too late anyway. If you are driving, then you should notice the yellow beam shooting to your tank

You are welcome ;)

Just, watch your tank, if you are in crowd u can be sure that you will get shot (e.g. when gold falls), only depends on will you get less or more damage.

When you are not in danger (driving and not seeing enemies), you have that 1 sec to take a look upon your HP.

This is nice idea, though, but this might be too laggy, with or without option in settings menu. If 1 player with bad computer uses this, he/she might lag too much and ruin the game.

It will affect the eSports playing style massively.

All turret's impact force will raise to a ridiculous amount of digit, in XPBP it will make shooting your opponent while getting shot act impossible, and all other turrets will be affected too.

Not a bright idea.

What are you talking about? This would only change the visual look of the tank while it's being healed or damaged. It wouldn't affect the actual damage, impact force, recoil, etc.

If I'm in the heat of battle and I see a blue flag on top of a tank and I'm on the blue team, I'm taking aim at that tank, not looking for little green numbers. Sometimes the enemy Isida will come up so close to your tank, you don't see the beam, but you hear it. They both sound the same. I am looking at my turret to see where I'm aiming. I'm more likely to see my turret and not so much little green numbers that sometimes blend in with scenery.
