eBay related help please

Recommended Posts

So I have this thing I really want to sell on eBay because it can (or seems to) fetch a decent price. Unfortunately, I'm not really familiar with how eBay works when selling. Can someone explain the shipping to me and also how to make sure my item is sold with minimum effort to sell it on my behalf? If you want, I can tell you about the item in case it helps give me better advice, also where the item is. Thanks!

Its incredibly easy once you've set up a PayPal and eBay account. To create a listing, just click 'Sell' at the top of the homepage, the rest is pretty explanatory and straightforward, just go through everything on the 'sell' page slowly when posting your first listing.

Obviously make sure you know the costs of posting your item and decide whether you want to ship internationally etc. If ita an expensive item its always better to send it via a tracked or signed for service. Your post office site should have all those details.

I see. I have all the details and a paypal account I'd like to direct the payment to. Where can I determine the posting costs?

Your postal service website should tell you. For example here in the UK you just need to go to the Post Office website and type in the weight/size of the parcel and it'll quote you a price then you can go to your closest post office and send it off.

It's like that in the U.S. too.

Good luck on that. If this pans out for you, maybe you can become an eBay vendor. If interested, look at Craigslist, Tophatter (auction, buy cheap sell big), Facebook (you can open your own store), Shopify, Letgo. Just to name a few.

I see. I suppose not, but might I interest you in helping me by looking at my item and kindly helping me determine if it will sell?

Also, I don't have too much cash to buy stuff, so I don't think that I can open a store... Maybe an item here and there though.

Thanks for your help!
