Earlier today, December 22nd, after server restart holiday missions were launched not according to plan. Some tankers lost mission rewards they didn’t claim yet, and some got their missions replaced with harder missions, but the rewards stayed the same.

 

We apologize for the inconvenience and the distress this caused you.

 

Due to technical limitations, we cannot return your unclaimed missions or rewards, but we have good news for you — until 02:00 UTC January 8, for the whole duration of the New Year event — missing your daily mission will NOT lose or drop down your chain progress. Skip one day, two, even a full week and you will still have your current progress of the daily missions. And, of course, if you continue to complete daily missions, they WILL increase your daily mission chain progress, as usual.

 

So make the most of this holiday break, meet friends, family, check the Holiday tree in your town and decorate your own — have fun and don’t worry about daily missions!

So what does this mean exactly? Can you re-state it again to make it clearer?

 

It sounds like TO is saying they are going to keep these ridiculously long missions all holiday period but don't bother doing them.  When the holidays are over the chain will still be intact where you left it. It sounds like they are saying: Do not play TO during the holidays.

 

As always, genius marketing from TO. SMH.

 

So the holiday "bonus" is ---- you get to LOSE your daily mission income. You get to LOSE your weekly payouts. But at least you do not lose your position in the chain.

 

This is acceptable to TO? This they cal a "fix".  The holiday "celebration" for me is to get at least 25k less income than I would during a non-"celebration"!

 

No, I am not going to spend three times as long playing TO every single day so yes my missions will go uncompleted and yes I will not get my weekly payouts. Wow thank you TO such fun!!!!!

 

What an inept gaggle of noobs.

 

Every holiday up t now there was a special mission: "Wear the holiday paint do XYZ' What exactly was wrong with that? The other missions remained normal. That gave players a special holiday bonus ... if they wanted it. It gave players the option to play normally .. as their time allowed. But for the biggest event of teh year they change it, put in a new triple-effort-for-all-missions system  that they obviously did not research or think through.

 

During the next daily reboot, return the Wear Holiday Paint mission system and junk this disaster!

You guys want to ruin the game with these missions, they just enourage multing and sabotage. Everyone only cares about the drop zones and not the match.... Already lost 5 matches because noob legends with friggin m4's are such greedy pigs that they let go of the battle and mult for boxes

This is supposed to be an event that encourages players to play TO. Only this company would design a system that discourages players to play. Then atop that release a statement urging players to stay away.

 

If I had not seen it a dozen times before from this crew I would not believe it. What fools.

You have to realize that the Tanki developers know nothing about CHOICE! In their world, they are told what to do and how to think and now they try to force it upon the rest of the world! Just like that idiotic Matchmaking they want to shove down our throats! Why would anyone want to be thrown in a random battle mostly with higher ranks with more powerful weapons, is beyond me! Instead of keeping it simple and having only the battle list with the filters so you can choose, they created this complicated screen with so many unnecessary buttons!

Oh yeah! great example of a big screw up! I never understood why I was thrown in to a random battle with mostly players with 4 -5 ranks higher than me! Yes! I like to play in a battle that I did not chose, getting killed by one shot from a legend rail! Did you notice the outcry from the players? Did you notice how fast Tanki went back to the drawing board? Well, If you do not call this "something wrong", I do not know what your definition of "wrong" is!

Guys just calm down, over 2.5 years on this account I've seen alot more updates than most of you guys. I started TO when vulcan first came into the game :). This celebration is actually not bad for xmas, 50% off everything practically. Shure it's always that in big celebrations but I'd rather that than 40%. Special increased of all missions are good as well. It will take you not long to get say 750 exp compared to the normal mission of 150 kills with holiday paint. All missions are better and its not just a matter of time to do them alot of other factors come into play. This celebration is actually good, - Crazy  frosty weekend, 400 kills aren't to hard to do., 10x golds, even hornets and  light hulls, or people who don't go for golds should be able to catch some. And containers have a chance of dropping, nothings wrong with that. Just stop criticising tanki, they spent weeks planning this celebration, you spent 5-10 min writing your response. Don't be to hard on tanki, sure there are bugs and small things wrong, but they always get fixed :). Lastly the rank limits are fine as it tests your skill, you can't be a brigadier and expect to play with warrent officers and third-liteunant up all the time. You gotta play with high ranks to see if your equipment is good enough. 4-5 ranks higher :/ thats nothing compared to the old rank limits. Polygon CP xp/bp Captain- Legend.... Just stop complaining and let tanki have a vacation, after all, it is christmas :).

Guess it's my turn to make a speech after seeing all these people come and go and cuss out Tanki...

 

I've been playing this game since it came out in 2009. I stopped playing at various intervals between then and now, so I've been playing for about 5.5 years total. Over the years, Tanki's made various decisions that are ambiguous or unliked, but I'd say a good 80% of them have good intent for the game. Back at the major rebalance and graphics update, I remember people who did the same thing as they do now; they cuss out Tanki. However, over 75% of them still stay and play the game. Why? Because it's addicting and quite a good game. Looking back at that update now, most of my friends who were playing back then say that it was one of the best updates Tanki's ever made. The only reason that we didn't like it then is the same reason we don't like updates now: Humans naturally don't want to change. But, once it settles in, you'll see that each update did something good for the game.

- sales are fine - but - they can happen any time of the year - so not really X-mas special are they?

 

- You are completely wrong on the "special missions" - why do you think they suspended the mission chains - because no one wants to waste their time collecting 20 DA for a reward of 12 speed boosts. Or 6 flags for 1 RK and 6 DA - will spend more from garage than you get back.

 

- 400 kills not nearly as easy as you make it sound.  Sure those with OP equipment for their rank might get it done fast. All others - not so much.

 

- Rank limits still need adjusting.  No one should be playing 5-6 ranks above them - and that goes for WOs as well.  Your equipment needs to be "good enough" to play with your peers.  Those 6 ranks above are not your peers. I may be Legend now, but most of my opponents seem to be legend 5/10/15/20 - even saw a L50 other night. Garages vastly superior.

You guys really are douche bags.  Why don't you test this stuff?

 

I would guess stealing my completed Daily Missions and then tripling the difficulty for the same reward is probably a mistake and unintentional, but we poor players have to live with your incompetence.  Your new holiday missions are all 3X harder for little bitty tiny rewards; the same rewards that would have been granted for normal mission difficulty.

 

You make it harder and harder to get any enjoyment from playing Tanki.  It seems everything you do is fouled up somehow.

OK...I am satisfied with your band-aid fix for this last mess-up.  A pass to keep the Daily Mission Chain at its same point though the Holidays is a fair and even rewarding patch for your latest debacle.  Well done.
