Smh, even though u know u made a mistake u wont even try to rectify it? Will u kindly talk to the devs to give us atleast another supply sale to make up for your mistake? Till when should I wait to buy the supplies I wanted to ?

There is no additional sale on supplies planned for the event.

The new Finish top 3 on the winning team mission will affect battles negatively because it encourages players to only join the winning team and abandon the losing teams.

 

From the beginning players will start drugging for their teams to get ahead, if their team is falling behind many will just leave, specially druggers and buyers, because the incentives are only to leave, thus leaving that team in worse and worse shape.

 

This is clearly designed so people consume more drugs and spend more money. But let me tell you that many players I know are now playing other games, and those games look nice. Perhaps that's your goal, to only have buyers fighting buyers to milk them as much as possible. Then clicking play and knowing when to leave will be the norm.

 

So keep acting like the problem where many players only join winning teams and abandon losing teams doesn't exist.

Partially true. But there are other easier ways to 'game' this mission. Example join a small game. It is a bit better than Finish 1st on winner OR loser - type mission that it replaced. 

 

PLUS my guess is the 3x requirement will turn into a 1x requirement after the holiday 3x missions are over.

Good players rarely join a team that is losing...especially if they have a Top 3 Winning Team Mission.  To complete their mission, they have to turn the tide of players that are leaving and generate enough score to win the game and be in the top 3.  Not impossible, but very very infrequent and difficult.  Most people take the path of least resistance...strong player joins a battle on the winning side and has a much better chance of top 3.  

 

In the good old days of Tanki, I used to love to jump in on a losing side and turn the game around to victory, but that NEVER happens anymore since most battles are blowouts and losing members bail quickly...especially the good players.  Why waste time and supplies for almost no crystal payout as a loser?

 

Tanki is doing this to make the dread MatchMaking seem better.  Sides will stay full as MM sends lambs to the slaughter on the losing side.  Players will no longer be able to choose maps, rank brackets, losing/winning team, beginning or game in progress.

 

MatchMaking = Total loss of Choice

 

And I believe that Tanki is doing everything they can now to make MM seem better when it is tragically implemented.

Unless you're joining with your friends, you need to be really good and aim to make other druggers leave, you also have to time it carefully and make sure the rest on your team are at least average, and hope that low rank noobs don't join your team. But who wants to do that? Very few.

Currently, people already leave in bad circumstances if their team is losing and only join winning teams. I do too, especially if there is an M2 drugger on the other team that makes it impossible to survive even for a few seconds. Also, who would join a game with 9-0 flags when you know you'll lose?

In tam games you can pick your moments to drug. All-time DM is not in my experience set So YMMV.

 

In my experience, everyone at my rank can afford to drug when it can make a difference. How? Do 1+ missions / day.

 

Some missions take care of themselves. "Earn exp" is generic. You can play any game and eventually that mission is done.

 

Some like Cap x flags are hard to do for some players. You do not play that role normally. But you need / want the mission completed. sometimes you can game the system to complete these examples.

 

Or you just to save time doing a missions because that day is a minimum time day.

 

Or because now you can go play PRO for the rest of the day.

 

Etc & IOW, you're reading too much into it.

My opinion? DM maps suck for holiday missions. This time though it did at least make supply missions manageable.

 

The 3x difficulty missions are awful, please never again... There are usually 1-2 repair kit drops per map, and so when I get a "collect 15" mission? I'm essentially sabotaging because I have to just camp the drop zones for 2-3 consecutive battles.

 

Having said all that, this was probably the best animated paint, because it had sudden, obvious things. Flow/nightmare have tiny, unnoticeable animations, spectrum is slow enough to not really notice it...

When I first heard spectrum (not now, i mean when it first came out, and hearing it from a friend), I thought they'd be making an animated paint where the cycle flows through the tank and not cycle in time. They should make a Flow Spectrum,

 

 

Jk, it will sound too similar to flow and spectrum, and it will probably be double the price of the current bundles for animated paints.  :ph34r:
