It seems to me that this topic was created in order to learn more about the puzzle and collectively solve it. Someone speaks the answer, and everyone gets pissed because he/they "spoiled it." If you want to figure it out yourself, don't visit pages like this...

:-) originally it is a famous book!

From the letters you can form the title of the 3rd part of the trilogy in 5 parts. In this part they search for the ultimate answer to the ultimate question. After 7,5 million years of deep thinking the answer is: forty-two. The movie is nice, but I can recommend anyone who likes the movie to read the original books. Much, much more details :-)

LOL no I solved it after the tip that UNIVERSE was good on this page. So I have to thank Issimo for my quest :-)

 

But @ first I was mislead by following Dali. THIS took me to really nice and interesting places: who would have thought an online game will have me surfing through surrealist paintings, movies and essays LOL

Ive solved it too but it took me more than 14 hours haha... Same as Ninja i wont give any hints, But what i can say is that i did not get the Paint. If you thought you would get it by solving that website then i can safely say nope.

At the beginning I wasn't interested in solving the puzzle, until I saw this post...

So far I've found one word that can be compiled in all languages of this puzzle this word is UNIVERSE. maybe it's just a coincidence, but maybe there's something in it.

 

UNIVERSE - engl

 

ВСЕЛЕННАЯ - rus

 

Universum - deutch

 

universo - portugal

 

wszechświat - polska

 

universo - spanish

That's when I knew the word UNIVERSE was part of the title and got the idea that there was other words in all languages. So I searched word by word. I figure the title out in a few hours, but the title was not the key. Then I saw words like Galaxy, then the ultimate answer "42", but it didn't work. Tried Year 2042, visited Year 2042, visited Rio (rivers), paints, tanks (tank is ego), and kept trying the tittle in different forms. Nothing worked.

 

Then I saw Ninja's post... bad Ninja, bad!

 

Let this be a record for any future adventures:

And I thought it would help me in solving it, especially after seeing that Ninja never said "No, this is just a proof, it is not part of the puzzle", when people were being mislead by it.  But he also answered some of my questions correctly, so he's not bad. But I remembered that he added "Robert Peary" from who knows where to his "proof", he also said "future adventures" which made me think there was more steps to solve the puzzle, so, bad Ninja again. This was one of the reasons I decide to give a hint or two to others, so not only thank me, but also thank Ninja.

 

But it was not all a loss because i found interesting stuff, art and thoughts following the Dali "lead", I even learned something about Tanki from it.

 

It never occurred to me to change the Ultimate Answer "42" into letters, because from Adams work, the author of Life, the Universe and Everything, it was always as "42", that until yesterday. That's why I said that it was STUPID.

 

After that I hinted another correct word for the rest (AND), mentioning that UNIVERSE was also correct because I thought everyone thought the same, and I think that helped others in solving it. It was good for several hours until some posted the answer.

 

So I think I was part of solving the quest for many, also ending and ruining the quest, or ending the misery. Next time I'll only point out which is not part of the puzzle and give very subtle hints.

 

I hope you all learned something from all of these, I think I did.

My side of Synesthesia Code History

My side was using this Anagram-Solver.net to solve it. But it didn't give me any answers UNTIL later I put spaces between each letters, it gave me  "Life, The Universe and Everything". I googled it and it was a book, it also had a movie adaption called "The Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy". I watched this on Netflix around a year ago and it's ultimate answer was "42". I tried this earlier as it would be funny if it worked but I didn't think of using letters instead of numbers.

forty-two is from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. In that movie, they ask a computer, "What is the answer to life, the universe, and everything?" and 7.5 million years later it tells them "forty-two". for those of u wondering.

Big surprise. <_< Turns out the code leads to a name input for some free supplies, some Synesthesia fun facts, and an animation of the paint. No free paints as was speculated heavily. I think this topic is about finished now.  :lol:
