TO isn't made for gaming, but for money making

There are tons of people on this game that have spent nothing on the game and still have nice garages. Tanki can make as many updates as they want that are perceived to be buyer updates....doesn't matter, people will spend what they want, even if that means spending nothing at all.

IMO, there's better value being a buyer in Tanki now than 3 or 4 years ago.

1500 drugs kits are better value for druggers than before they were removed from garage. If you wait till sales days, you can buy a half price m3 kit for cash and then use earned crystals to upgrade it to a level that makes it competitive almost instantly. New buyer paints are much nicer looking than most of the older paints, which gives them value to people that are into that sort of stuff....etc.etc.

BTW, from what I've read on this forum, player decline is an advertising(or lack of) issue. It would make sense to only incur the cost of re-advertising once you have the game how you want it....which in this case is after the intro of HTML5 and matchmaking.

It's your choice to buy that car though. Don't buy it if you don't like it.

You don't have to spend money on this game if you think it's too expensive and the items you can buy are not worth their price. Especially when it comes to cosmetic items. I've been here for a long time, and at the moment the game is so much better than what it was 2, 4 or 6 years ago. MUCH more content, better performance, better balance between buyers and free players, more user-friendly features, etc.

I'll assume that this is your main account and you didn't play the game before 2016, so if you could see what the game was like before, your opinion would be very different. Players have it much easier nowadays than before.

Hell naw, the game got worse, the declining amount of players confirms that.

Player numbers are declining not because the game got worse, but because the game is 8 years old and a ton of similar, newer games have been released, so potential new players go there instead. Also, AFAIK devs cut down on advertising for now.

Aw common, every ''goodbye'' topic exists of 2 things, busy in rl and the game getting worse.

IMO nothing is really similar to Tanki.

Heard about the advertising stop, since it didn't bring in enough new players

Players have always been leaving Tanki, at mostly the same rates. "Game is getting worse" has been a common phrase pretty much since the day Tanki was launched, so that's nothing new. But the reason total player numbers are declining is not because more people are leaving, but because fewer new people are coming to replace those, who left.

I started playing Tanki latter part of 2009. Before that, I was playing another tank combat game that went defunct because the Dev abandoned it and didn't keep up with the advancements of computers, Consequently, many of the features no longer worked. I went in search for another tank combat game and found this one on Miniclip. In fact, Miniclip is the only place I have seen Tanki advertised and is still advertised there.

I know it will never be possible, but I wish the Devs would come back with the old Tanki just for a short while (a few days?) so players could compare the new with the old. Along with the 10 crystal blue boxes (no Gold Boxes, yet), the only weapons Smokey and Railgun, the only hulls Wasp and Hunter, the highest rank Marshal, the only battle formats DM, TDM, CTF. Of course the Devs would have to include all the glitches. Should they give equal time to all the Hackers? I don't remember what maps were available back then, but Silence was the most popular.

I am a buyer and i truly believe that i am more important than non buyers because i contribute to the game more. ^_^

Well...I will tell you a truth. For devs all players are important, cause they are waiting for $ from them. You are not more or less important than any other player.  They like numbers growing in their accounts, not which customer is paying more or less. Numbers.

uhm, this game is interesting for some players, please don't steal their happiness.

and also, i am a free-2-play guy, i am not wasting money, but still, i have a good garage and i am proud i am good against buyers and druggers.

Well, we can call you lucky. You developed your garage before all these non sense updates.

Now it's IMPOSSIBLE to develop your account until you are willing to pay money.

Every business wants money. That's why they created the game so people could invest in it.

Well, thisone has gone too far. Like literly too far. Asking too much money for tinyass flash game.

But well, what I can say...probably just another crybaby who only complaints and doesnt understand anything of quality and price for it.

So you're saying it's impossible to win battles, rank-up, complete missions and weekly chains?...or do you have glitch in your garage that doesn't let you buy items on sales days?

No, the devs want buyers. Fewer players who pay are more useful than 1k players who play free. Devs need money.

I think its time we close this topic. You've done enough screaming, and we've all made our points quite clear. Of course, TO needs money, otherwise how do you think this community even existed? If you don't like the game, we are not forcing you to stay or to be part of our community. So stop screaming the hell out of us and make your decision.
And as always, Adriel throws in some fun xD

^Gosh, you're probably the 2nd most annoying user in this forum next to RIDDLER. Don't you have anything remotely constructive to say? You're only making yourself less respectable.  -_-

Anyway..

No, the devs want buyers. Fewer players who pay are more useful than 1k players who play free. Devs need money.

^This basically.

During sales, devs lose a lot of money, to satisfy the desires of the free players. To counteract this, they have to introduce new "buyer" features to offset the losses of said sales. Then the free players complain again, so the devs make more sales and so on. It's a vicious cycle.

2012 was a simple year but a hard one aswell. No MU's, no modules, no missions, no kits, fewer sales... And drugs without cooldowns.

Marshals on full drugs with Jade, Emerald, Zeus or Inferno between the sergeant majors who were desperately trying stay alive long enough to catch crystal boxes.

No thanks, I'll pass.

Interesting update today with containers being given out as part of mission chains......how does that fit in with the argument that the devs have some obsession with money-making instead of making the game more enjoyable?

Yes, they want cash as any business should......but dishing out potentially hundreds of thousands of a brand new buyable feature to players for the effort of completing one mission a day does not look like greed to me.

I didn't read your message yet, but I can say Tanki is creating for the game because in the beginning of this game Tanki has no money, and didn't start this game with the goal to earn money!

Exactly, it's great to see all this new cosmetic stuff to build some fancy tanks. Items that do not affect anything but looks.

Check at, for example, WarGaming.net games. F2P, but costs a lot less and bigger player satisfaction.

Tanki has P2W aspects, and WOT has P2W aspects. Simple.

However, WOT seems to be slightly more balanced... (*cough* there is nothing to heal you and you can't buy your way out like here   *cough*) but I'm a total noob in that game so who am I to judge.

but a less balanced game overall.

That is compensated with being aware of your surroundings and looking at the minimap (and not rushing at the other team). In WOT, you can't shoot what you can't see. Also, TO and WOT have vastly different game mechanics.
