Holiday Missions, Weekly Rewards Changes

5 types each of the Common, Uncommon, and Rare rewards. 2 Epic and 1 Legendary. Guess at the probabilities are

 

11.90% for each Common

 5.95%  "    "     Uncomon

 1.95%  "    "     Rare
 1.0%   combined for all 3 Epic and Legendary.

 

So roughly    6 of 10   opens will give you 3.5k                                                     or (non-RK/GB) Supplies

                     3 of 10   opens                      10k. or   3 days PP (7.5k) or RK/GB or RK+Supplies

                     1 of 10   opens                      30k, or 10 days PP (25k)  or       GB or RK+Supplies or a chance at a Paint

                     1 of 100  opens                                                                                                An Epic or a Legendary Paint.

 

OR

 

A bit more than 1 of 4 opens will give you some amount of Crystals including the PP daily bonus types.

 

Roughly 1 in 12 opens will give you a Premium Pass of some duration.

 

A bit less than 1 in 2 opens will give you one of the 125 Basic Supply type rewards. These are arguably the least-valuable of the rewards..

 

Roughly 7 out of 10 opens will give you some amount of Supplies from 250 each down to 3 days of PP bonus.

 

Roughly 1 of 7 opens will give you RKs or RKs+Basic Supplies.

 

Roughly 1 of 9 opens will give items unrelated to Cry or combat Supplies: those being Paints and Gold Boxes.

The containers obtained from the chain reward can contain any of the possible items (supplies, crystals, golds, premium, garage paints, shop paints, legendary paints etc.).

This confirms my suspicions that Tanki is on its way towards an MMO-based casino!

I see.  Well, I've said what I needed to say for the mean time.  Will update if I find a new concern.

The difference in crystal gains with today's chain rewards compared to x3 mission chains over the space of a year for a Legend rank is 291k. Which is quite shocking unless you consider that the 10 and 3 days of Premium in Containers was a big factor in deciding to reduce the chain rewards.

 

We can earn 156 containers a year. That's a whole load of chances to get Premium containers. Looking at the post above by @LittleWillie.....At a guess and being conservative, the odds are it's highly likely each of us will get at least 1x10 days premium and 3 x 3 days Premium in the space of a year.

Let's say I do and play 3 hours a day with premium and earn 7k crystals a day on average, double that to account for the double rewards received.

So that's 7k daily premium gains times the 19 days of Premium = 133,000 crys

Add onto that the 2500 a day just for logging into premium = 47,500 crys

So if a guy playing 3 hours a day can convert 19 days of Premium into 180k+ crystals, you can imagine what a no-lifer will do with that amount of Premium. Double it or even treble it, as proven in the prestigious Tanki mouse potato top 100 no-lifer ratings week in week out.

 

And that's without the supplies you get with Premium and whatever else the other 152 containers give, which might go some way to stocking up on the extra supplies we won't be getting anymore. I can live with this myself and just play more no-supplies battles instead.

 

Still think this is a generous update.

Hey CooperO, I really hope this is true, but I am skeptical. Can I ask if this is confirmed with Tanki or if this is your general understanding.

Containers in the mission chain rewards should include everything a purchased container would, they are the same item.

Cooper is right. There is only one type of Container. Each one has a probability to contain a Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, or Legendary reward.

I'll know for sure to morrow but aright now I am estimating this mission change will cost me about 9,050 Cry per weekly reward payout. This is in cash and Cry value of the lower Supply rewards.

 

However to offset this I will get an unknown number f Containers with an estimated value of about 4,735 Cry each.So if I get 2 / week that is a 8,470 Cry value. For three it is 14,200 Cry. In the long run the Containers seem to offset the 40% reduction from "3x"... if you get enough of them. For Lt General that is 3 Containers / week.

The Container estimate value is conservative.

 

Supplies are valued at the 100 item kit price on 50% off. That is 12.5 Cry for Basics and 37.5 Cry for a RK.

 

Paints and Gold Boxes were all valued at zero Cry.

 

Premium Passes were valued at the daily bonus reward only. No extra earnings from battle are used in the calculations.

ok back on Dec 28 2017 you stated that containers would be changing . would this not also include missions ? or is the future in a few months when this will kick in on missions ?

With server restart at 02:00 UTC December 28th, the following changes are coming to the game:
 
Changes to Assault mode
 
The way score is added in Assault mode will be reworked. After the update the Blue Team will receive score points for destroying enemy tanks (same as TDM), and not from controlling the point on the map. With these changes, you can help your team in any part of the map and with any equipment! The goal of the mode and how score points are added for the Red Team will remain the same.
 
New effects when opening containers
 
With the server restart on December 28th new color coded effects will be added to the game when opening containers. The better item you get in the container, the cooler effects you’ll see when it appears, and colors for the effects will also depend on rarity:
 
  • White — common items (small sets of bonuses);
  • Green — uncommon items (medium sets of bonuses);
  • Blue — rare items (bigger sets of bonuses, paints from the Garage);
  • Purple — epic items (paints from the Shop);
  • Gold — legendary items (very rare paints, unavailable for purchase).
 
X3 rewards for completing mission chains 
 
Increased rewards for completing daily mission chains for now will stay in the game. We will inform about any changes to the rewards in a separate announcement at a later date.

Just got my weekly payout. 3 Containers at LtGen.  I got 125 SU, 3.5k, 3 days PP. So I netted 6.6k extra in cash but got about 6k value less of net Supplies.  Plus 3 days of extra earning in battle from the  PP. Overall thjis was an even more profitable week than the 3x. Over time we'll get a a andle on the true odds.

Missioners shouldn't worry about rewards because rewards are still OP, and we are all on the same boat, the competition is in how to maximize our efforts.

 

The ones who should worry about this still OP rewards are casual players whether they buy or play for free.

 


 

Two things i want from containers:

 

- Gold rewards should be removed from chain rewards and black boxes, to prevent the transfer of crystals from one account to another, something I'm planning to do to consolidate my accounts. ;) But I'm not a mean player  :)

 

- Let us exchange unwanted rewards for a very small amount of crystals. (Support the idea)

It is sad the 3X rewards have been reduced, but Tanki always said they were for a limited time...times up.  I think it is a very good and positive compromise to increase weekly rewards over their original amount AND toss in the 3 containers.  The containers even have a potentially larger value, and they are fun, really fun, really really fun.  I enjoyed opening them very much.

 

The 3X rewards were doomed.  Now they are gone.  BUT, we now get bigger rewards than before the 3X, AND three containers...each week...an unknown to look forward to each week.  I applaud Tanki in this update,  It is WAY WAY better than just stopping the 3X rewards and reverting to the original reward schedule.

I think another negative point that can mess up my overall long term plan is if I end up getting premium from the containers, since they give x2 cry and x1.5 exp. Usually whenever I've had premium on my account, the speed that I was gaining crystals and experience was too overwhelming that I had to change my overall long term plan every day lol. 

 

Anyways, got my rewards from 4th week today, opened the containers, and I am more than pleased with what I got. 125 repair kits, 10k crystals x2. I don't need fancy paints or tons of supplies, I already bought Arachnid and got Nightmare for free, just give me a lot of crystals like you did to me today, container chan :) I am sure now that I'll get at least 2 m4s before Legend. I think.

 

 

Let's hope the new updated daily mission chain rewards are permanent then. Well, apart from the containers distribution per rank, I still think that should be somewhat changed.

This update aims to bring balance in gameplay, too :)

Perspective: When tankers get more crystals than before in a shorter duration, more tankers will have m4s within months. This adds to balance out the gameplay.

It' a gaming business. Just as your parents are getting paid for their work at the office, so are the developers getting an amount from those who pay to play. 

 

As I said, they are going step by step. :)

Holiday missions remained in the game for 2 days longer than planned, and holiday break from mission chains was also extended for 2 days. To keep your chain progress tomorrow, you need to claim 1 mission before morning restart 02:00 UTC on January 10th.
 
If you’re already working on a mission (for example, 200/500 enemies destroyed), tomorrow your mission progress will remain, and mission difficulty for all daily missions will return to normal, meaning 3 times easier.
 
Rewards for already completed missions will remain on your account until claimed.
 
Changes to rewards for completing weekly chains
 
After server restart 02:00 UTC on January 10th rewards for completing weekly mission chains will change. The rewards will remain increased, but now finishing your weekly mission chain will also include containers in the rewards!
 
Additionally, containers will continue to drop, occasionally, instead of Gold Boxes in regular battles.
