That thing about mammoth should change it. I say it because I use it and it would be totally unfair (and funny) to touch and destroy immediately.

 

  I mean, have you thought about that when a gold box falls, all the players come together (literally) in such a way that they look like a colony of rodents? Yes, I mean that if Mammoth activated its overdrive, it practically already has the goldbox secured.

 

  My suggestion? Change it to this: That it reflects the projectiles and the damage. I think that would be more fair. I mean.

First of all, let's take a look at the definition of a matchmaking system:

One of the major things the developers are focusing on right now is a balancer, which will make sure that the whole battle consists of equally skilled players relatively of the same rank and experience

That's what worries me about MM.  TO is more concerned with rank and experience, when it's the kit level that needs to be looked at.

Didn't TO already sort out the rank levels so you didn't get Legends playing against Gefreiters?  The issue for me is when you've got M2 equipment and you're faced with opponents with M3s or M4s and they (as in my case) only have to be one rank above me to have a vastly superior kit level.

 

As for XTs that will be rarer than hens teeth..... meh.

Like others, I wish Tanki would sort out the game issues we've already got.

the mammoth is slower when you use the overdrive i think it seems fair unless you've ever been hit by a mammoth

 


Most excited for overdrives, because new things.

most unexcited for containers, because pay 2 win.

 

i know its xts, but in the process of trying to get xts, you will get so many other things

how are containers pay to win if they added them to mission chains mission chains are free you might be thinking of something else but this way anyone can get at least one container a week

if you don't want to play with m3s then find a lower rank battle the combined server was probably the only bad update i have seen for the last 6 years playing with m3s really shouldn't be that big of an issue at your rank

I think mission for a s l with just cap flag in a s l by itself is bad.

 

Means people will have reason to play red assault to capture flag, but no reason to play defence. 

 

Unless other missions like earn xp etc are added.

 

But just capping a flag... everyone will play red mostly.

Trust me, it is an issue when you've got  M2 Twins and you're up against those green Twins (M3? M4?).  Two pings off those and you're done.

And yeah, I keep to maps where there's no 3-stars or above.  Doesn't stop them joining tho...

This is just my speculation on the working of this Overdrive, but I've played two other games which had a similar power (touching anything and it's dead) in one of it's weapons/guns, and basically, you can only use it once-thrice, that it, you only get to kill only one-three people and after that, your Overdrive ends. I'm pretty sure this won't be too much of an OP thing as you're saying.

Great summary Hexed....well done!

 

I believe MatchMaking is a complete and total mistake.  It will be the ruin of whatever is left of Tanki because it will remove what little choice and control players still have over battles...no choice of map, no choice of rank limits, no choice of teammates (friends), no choice of losing or winning team, no choice in the start of a new game or joining a game in progress, no choice in joining at the very end of a battle to pick up those last 2 crystals to complete a mission...NO CHOICE.

 

I also think there may be long waits to join battles.  There will be much frustration in constantly being sent to losing teams that have a consistent flow of players bailing from the sinking ship.  I also don't believe that matches will be balanced in terms of rank or experience...peak play times will be closer balance and off hours will have large gaps between players.  

 

The only plus I can see to the MANY minuses is that MatchMaking should reduce some of the mult problem.  Personally I would rather live with the problems we have now rather than lose what little control we have,

Sounds something similar to TankiX . Given that a huge amount of Tanki Online players did not convert to Tanki X entirely, going against developer's plans, I think, it's a good move by the people behind these decisions. :)

Great summary agreed, but the only thing that keeps me playing this game is the fact match making system is not yet in the game. If and when they release the update I will test it, if I do not like it either I'll never do missions again or just quit entirely. I like free choice, and especially with the slow system in the test a while ago, it took up to 3 minutes to load a battle for me :/. I could have chosen a perfectly fine battle by myself in less than 20 seconds. But great article =)

Sure. I only speak in the case that it was to everyone, without any death limit. To one that I would have liked that some hull had the ability to reflect the bullets :p

Personaly i was a much bigger fan of the old tanki, with self healing isida. If u ask me the game was perfect after they took out the crystal boxes of 10, and after the shaft update that allowed other players to see where shaft was aiming with a laser.

but this i ok too.( of course that does not mean i dont like the turrets that came out afterwards, like hammer, my absolute favorite)

but i do think that if u mess this overdrive update up even a little bit, players may begin to leave. some probly already hate the update.
