Legends - Stop Being Like This

 Share

Recommended Posts

Today, I joined a PRO battle Arena CP. Everyone there was a legend with m4s and im a marshal with m3s.

My team kept on spamming and raging in the chat to ask me to leave and one guy continued to try pushing me off the arena.

Legends,

You may have the highest rank in the game because 1. you probably played for a long time 2. you probably dumped 500 dollars (or euros) or whatever currency you use into the game. Your rank is also one of my least respected ranks in the game. Let's face it, you guys go around battles trying to get someone not a legend to leave, whether if be through chatting or by refusing to heal them with your isida. And many times, we lower-ranked players have more skill than you guys. In that Arena CP, I had the highest D/L of any of the legends and I was using m3's while everyone else could wreck people with their m4's. I joined last, and I almost caught up to everyone on my team in terms of score. There were no supplies on, so clearly it means that 1. I am NOT a mult 2. I am a better player than some of you 3. I have more skill. It's not our fault that u don't have enough skill to win ur battles. Stop being such jerks (i would love to use stronger language with asterisks involved)

You guys are jerks,

sensei_tanker

EDIT: I finally figured out how to get images down.

https://imgur.com/a/kdQue //Had problems uploading a better picture but here

https://imgur.com/a/AK640  //Here I score both flags for my team and they still wanted me to leave. I would have scored 3 if some legend guy wasn't multing me when I had the flag. And then I got magnumed (BTW, Alternativa needs to kill the Magnum before its too late, its OP)... and my teammate refuse to take that flag so enemies just returned.) Also, this was NOT a pro battle. That means huge drug war.

If the game is made for your rank and you want to play in that match, you have all right to play in it. Even though it might not be optimal for absolutely "balanced" gameplay to have various modifications in the battle, this is the way system currently is set and everyone must cope with all the factors, including the differences in ranks, modifications or MUs. If they bother you, the absolutely best thing to do is to ignore them (or if they go as far as sabotaging you, report them). There's no use in fighting or arguing with such people.

Side note: Although I can sympathize with your frustration, not everyone is *thatwordyouusedwhichIdon'tknowificanquotehere* just because he's Legend. This happens on almost all ranks and it's all about people.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Anyone would prefer to have a maxed team to play, it's almost a must to win, No MU/Alt - No win, personally, I wouldn't have complained about ur M3, i would have adjusted my combo to suit chemically with yours to try win. But you will know the pain of regretting that you could have won if your team was maxed. I.e, for Clash of clans wars, co's make sure max items donated, if you donate non maxed, they will get angry, so don't take it to heart.

First of all, D/L? Who cares, I've just given up caring about score. And more skilled? One game mode can not define that, I admit i'm noob inn arena CP or whatever, but I'd love to take you to a battle where im good at and show you up. Its just natural for legends who put time and dedication into this game, to smack chat the lower ranks. When a legend loses, most don't lose easily. But don't brag, that won't earn you any favours in tanki online. "I have more skill" " I am a better player " etc

Please don't brag, every battle is different. And m4 is only about 12% better than m3 and thats not much difference considering damage dealt etc.

Thanks, Mex

seriously though, you have some really big guts for saying this !

when you are a Noob with only one or two M3's in your whole Garage playing against Legends with many M4's, you are sabotaging your whole team by doing That, legends battles are hard enough to play, one small single element forfeit the game to the enemy team.

- if the enemy team have isida and we don't have one, we're lost already.

- one low rank like you join our team, damn, it's already over, RIP funds.

- the enemy team goes to the tunnel in CP polygon while our team doesn't, i'll just pause and wait for the battle to finish because we already lost.

even smaller elemets you don't even care about, like the ratio of Heavy hulls/medium/small effect the result of the battle, if your team have 3 vikings while other team have only one, trust me, you will lose at the end.

you are a nice guy ? i don't give a damn, if your garage suck, get the hell out of my team, i play to win, not to lose.

you can't effort M4's ? then why you play with us ? get the hell out, go play with M3's and M2's at your rank, that way you will have a better way to earn crystals than being on the loser side of a 2 hours CP battle.

i'm not saying "get the hell out of my Team" just to low ranks like you, i'm saying it even to noob legends with 1 good combo, to win battle you need people to adapt fast, change equipment, and know how to really win, not just play and hope for the best.

i pray to god everyday that people like you stop joining my team, but they always do, and when they do, i cry on those poor crystals that i will never get because of some careless noob like you, and i pause until we officially doomed.

don't let my harsh words hurt you, i only want what's best or you and i wish you the very best of luck in your Tanki career and in your real life  :) but trust me, joining legends rank when you are not fully ready for it (2 M4's at least, and 3 other M3's, and good protections) then you are making everybody suffer, including yourself.

Be smart, and play battles on your rank or lower, remember what a great military general once said:

8a28754db05a33b02ef6d0e7d0bace81--art-of

this advice will help you in real life as well in Tanki, be Smart, and NEVER fight stronger opponents.

I hate to say it, but by raging here you've effectively brought yourself down to their level, and now you are in no position to criticize them for their behaviour.

Also, don't generalise. You meet irritating and unsympathetic/intolerant tankers at all ranks and stages, they don't all just suddenly crop up at Legend.

You see Warrant Officers raging at Sergeant-Major "noobs with M0" all the time.

Not all legends are like that, infact legend battles have the most co-ordinated teams by far... players actually know about teamwork and try to help team-mates instead of sabotaging them like in the low ranks. True that legend ranks are filled with m4 druggers but if you take underpowered equipment to their battles anyone would get raged and vent out all the frustration on you. Always avoid playing against high ranks till you have the same level of equipment as theirs otherwise they will automatically blame you for their loss, its the harsh truth but you cant do anything about it.

Murdock is right. Legend battles are ruthless and they are also smart. You’ll never see a supply drop left to sit, or an Overdrive unused, or an idle tank left to smell the roses.

Show up with M2 equipment and expect to get wrecked and perhaps ridiculed. Show up with anything lower and sure, you’re gonna get raged at, since your very presence is disrupting the balance of the battle.

They should even ban people like him, so many CP battles with HUGE funds are lost just because of noobs like him joining late trying to get a piece of the funds, only to make the whole team lose in a matter of minutes.

This is why most CP polygon battles now have only one rank (LEGEND), and i personally don't play any CP with low ranks anymore.

If you need screenshots tell me how many you need and i'll show them to you.

Murdock

LOL, MY NAME CHANGED FROM MJ-ROCKS-05 to murdock xD

"But i have many marshal/fieldmarshal friends who only have 1 m3 turret and hull but they finish first in almost every legend dm they play in.. "

- Assuming that your friends are smart enough, they would've taken that single m3 combo to m4 and would have been really skilled at it, couple it with some drugs and there is nothing to differentiate your friend's and a legend's equipment. I've been at the top a few times myself both in DM's and team games so its nothing special. Btw, the point here was about team games not DM mode, infact if you take underpowered equipment in DM mode then you will be most welcomed by the high ranks  :P

I can kind of feel your pain. I have an M3.2 Isida account. At the time of this incident my Isida was M2.6. This was before the merger and Magnum. I joined a 30 minute TDM on Hill map with G'issimos and Legends, I was a Lt. General. The team I joined (Blue) was the winning team (by a small margin) and only one spot open, losing team was full. I was playing a Hornet and am good at hiding behind big tanks. All of my team was using Mammoths. The other team had Mammoths and Vikings and Titans. No Isida.

Anyway, I was behind the tanks healing and no one said a word...at first. But when I squeezed in between two tanks to heal, I was asked to leave, not by one player but by 3. They were saying things like:

"We don't want you."

"We don't need to be healed"

"Get lost"

"Get out of here"

"Leave!!"

"If we wanted an Isida, we would have called for one."

I told them I had just as much right to be in that battle as they were. That was the wrong thing to say. One player mentioned a teammate's nickname and said "You know what to do." That teammate made it his mission to push me off the map every time I respawned. Couple times it became a "cat and mouse" game with him and me. Then another tank got involved. I never died at the hands of the enemy.

At one point, while I was respawning, I noticed someone on the other team changed equipment. Then I saw the healing wave of an Isida M2. I figured they did that to keep the teams balanced. At that point, I said (in battle chat) "Ok, I'll leave, but blue will lose." They LOL'ed me. I left, but kept my eyes on the score from the lobby. No one took my place and they lost by a large margin. I hollered at my monitor "Yessss!! Oh, yesss!!" Towards the end, my curiosity got the best of me. I logged back in the battle, just for a couple seconds, to see if that Isida M2 was still there. It was. I quickly logged out again before they noticed me.

I like your feisty, raging attitude, you'll make a fine legend one day. I wonder if you'll be calling yourself a Jerk when you hit top rank.

(.....In a couple of ways, the OP is exactly why I'm glad I quit team battles(apart from missions..)

why bother. when you can already smash legends who go through the trouble. you think you're "smart" by MUing one combo? it's actually better to get more modules.. there's barely any difference between m3 and m4, might as well spend the crystals to be protected against the most prominent turrets..

look at this, only 1 turret... YNNEiF5NGaA.jpg

pretty clear why you can't manage in drug battles without drugs ;)

and next time can you quote my name? how am i supposed to know you're talking to me if i don't read every single post someone says here.

"there is nothing to differentiate your friend's and a legend's equipment"

next time, before you butt in, make sure you know what I'm replying to before you do.

My argument here, in case if I'm not clear, is that stop trying to kick us even when we are doing a pretty decent job playing. Many of us can be matched up against legends and put up a very good fight. Stop trying to scream at us through chat to leave when we are clearly helping. If we get like 5 kills with 40 deaths then you can absolutely try having us leave but don't do that us when we don't suck, all that I'm saying. When I was a lieutenant, as long as I wasn't playing poorly, I could stay in battles for Colonels and Brigadiers without anyone asking me to leave. The entire mindset changes for legends.

Even though I'm only at Commander at the time of this posting, my experience playing with Legend dominated battles is quite the opposite.  I've only ever had it occur on one occasion where some of my teammates deliberately pushed me off ledges.

Even though I lack the depth of garage equipment that I'm assuming most Legends have, I seem to be able to keep up and help my team win and usually place in the middle rank battle end listings, occasionally getting 1st,2nd at times.

As well, Legends don't really chat with me and I can understand that - probably view me as a noob when a battle begins but then some respect is earned when the lead is created by my efforts (at times).

In practice, Legends grant me and others a cautious respect.  I've only encountered a few bad apples and for the most part they are great.

I see some incredible moves and tactics that I definitely learn from playing at Legend dominated battles.
