Legends - Stop Being Like This

Even though I'm only at Commander at the time of this posting, my experience playing with Legend dominated battles is quite the opposite.  I've only ever had it occur on one occasion where some of my teammates deliberately pushed me off ledges.

Even though I lack the depth of garage equipment that I'm assuming most Legends have, I seem to be able to keep up and help my team win and usually place in the middle rank battle end listings, occasionally getting 1st,2nd at times.

As well, Legends don't really chat with me and I can understand that - probably view me as a noob when a battle begins but then some respect is earned when the lead is created by my efforts (at times).

In practice, Legends grant me and others a cautious respect.  I've only encountered a few bad apples and for the most part they are great.

I see some incredible moves and tactics that I definitely learn from playing at Legend dominated battles.

Hopefully it is because they are driving/shooting instead of typing.  I'd certainly welcome silent players who concentrate on the battle instead of chatting all the time.

So server merging was really good, don't you agree? Harder to chat when not everyone speaks the same language...

Depends on how much chat.  Battle tactics are not really the same as "chatting".

I've seen some players spend way more time talking than playing - even as we lose the battle.

And some not a peep - even when you ask them to activate that white star that has been sitting on their tank for 4 minutes.

Driving/fighting mixed with communication on the actual battle in Team Battles is preferred.

So no I don't agree server-merging was good since... useless chat still exists and i still end up on teams I can't communicate with.

I hate to say it, but by raging here you've effectively brought yourself down to their level, and now you are in no position to criticize them for their behaviour.

Also, don't generalise. You meet irritating and unsympathetic/intolerant tankers at all ranks and stages, they don't all just suddenly crop up at Legend.

You see Warrant Officers raging at Sergeant-Major "noobs with M0" all the time.

lol in my alt acc at first sergeant, I always rekk warrant officers

We don't need mults in our teams sorry. Can't you just play with people your ranks? We could've had a full M4/M4 combo that drugs 24/7 to help us against OTHER M4/M4 Combos that drug 24/7. If you're playing fine  and the team's winning then good! But if the team's losing, the lowest rank usually gets the majority of the blame. It's just the way things are up here. People don't like losing, and they will always find a scapegoat for their loss. It's not just Legends, it also happens on battles with wide rank brackets, although to a less serious extent.

However, we'll gladly let you guys in our DMs, we always need a few easy kills.  :P

Slightly off topic but... when i become marshal and get access to legend battles we'll join a dm and see who takes the first place?

over estimating the effect of his own experience was how desty had to stop the challenge early so he wouldn't loose a thousand euros...

Some people take years and years to do what others only need a few hours to, would you like to be able to see it yourself?

^Um, I don't care? If you can use anything I have used better than I can and in a tenth or hundredth of the time, well, good for you!

I'm just here to have fun.

What ruins the fun however, are poorly-equipped teammates bogging the entire team down. On full on 10v10 drug wars however, if you can't keep up, you're better off leaving before the entire team blames you. Personally, I think going into legend battles with M2s is stupid but M3s and M3.5s though, I'm okay with it.

However, as far as I'm concerned, there have been only a few cases where lower-ranked players are actively persuaded to leave, since the Legend druggers carry the game anyway.

- the enemy team goes to the tunnel in CP polygon while our team doesn't, i'll just pause and wait for the battle to finish because we already lost.

I agree with everything else in your post but this part bothers me. You yell about mults but when you do things like this you are just as bad as them. When enemy has the tunnel, you fight for the tunnel, you don't sit and leave others to pick up the slack. That is sabotage.

It's sad when players pause or leave if things might look bad, because all this does is make a self-fulfilling prophecy. It's just bad sportsmanship. And it's becoming an epidemic these days.

I can kind of feel your pain. I have an M3.2 Isida account. At the time of this incident my Isida was M2.6. This was before the merger and Magnum. I joined a 30 minute TDM on Hill map with G'issimos and Legends, I was a Lt. General. The team I joined (Blue) was the winning team (by a small margin) and only one spot open, losing team was full. I was playing a Hornet and am good at hiding behind big tanks. All of my team was using Mammoths. The other team had Mammoths and Vikings and Titans. No Isida.

Anyway, I was behind the tanks healing and no one said a word...at first. But when I squeezed in between two tanks to heal, I was asked to leave, not by one player but by 3. They were saying things like:

"We don't want you."

"We don't need to be healed"

"Get lost"

"Get out of here"

"Leave!!"

"If we wanted an Isida, we would have called for one."

I told them I had just as much right to be in that battle as they were. That was the wrong thing to say. One player mentioned a teammate's nickname and said "You know what to do." That teammate made it his mission to push me off the map every time I respawned. Couple times it became a "cat and mouse" game with him and me. Then another tank got involved. I never died at the hands of the enemy.

At one point, while I was respawning, I noticed someone on the other team changed equipment. Then I saw the healing wave of an Isida M2. I figured they did that to keep the teams balanced. At that point, I said (in battle chat) "Ok, I'll leave, but blue will lose." They LOL'ed me. I left, but kept my eyes on the score from the lobby. No one took my place and they lost by a large margin. I hollered at my monitor "Yessss!! Oh, yesss!!" Towards the end, my curiosity got the best of me. I logged back in the battle, just for a couple seconds, to see if that Isida M2 was still there. It was. I quickly logged out again before they noticed me.

Nice story. :)

when you said "However, we'll gladly let you guys in our DMs, we always need a few easy kills.  :P" it seemed to me you needed to have your first place stolen by a low ranker over and over and over again for something to be drilled into your head..

Heavens, you completely missed the point of that statement. I was referring to how low ranked players that use M2s on Legend battles should join our DMs as easy kills, instead of filling up spots on teams that need sufficiently-equipped tankers on their team.

Don't get me wrong, I do fully appreciate those special instances where skill trumps equipment level, but let's face it...

No amount of skill can bridge the gap of equipment levels in a full on M4 vs M4 drug war!

And what is up with you bringing up this "first place" malarkey in the first place? Is it because of what I've posted in the Shaft topic a few weeks back? Do I seem too proud in your eyes? Do you feel the urgent need to attack me in a completely unrelated topic?

yes yes yes and i want to let you feel for yourself how easy it will be to kill a low rank like me.

I bring up this "first place" because finishing first would prove the exact opposite that a low rank gives easy kills..

ah i think you didn't read the topic properly, he said he has m3.

I read it alright, but there are posts here depicting the use of M2s in Legend battles.

Anyone would prefer to have a maxed team to play, it's almost a must to win, No MU/Alt - No win, personally, I wouldn't have complained about ur M3, i would have adjusted my combo to suit chemically with yours to try win. But you will know the pain of regretting that you could have won if your team was maxed. I.e, for Clash of clans wars, co's make sure max items donated, if you donate non maxed, they will get angry, so don't take it to heart.

My friend here said it best^

Just get isida. Nobody can hate a good isida. xd

Also just ignore those nasty comments coming at ya, tanki itself is toxic... even legends like us get roasted on a daily basis too xdd

By the way, if there were a system that separated Legends from all other ranks, then it’s more bad than good for everyone;

THERE ARE LESS BATTLES TO CHOOSE FROM

For ranks < Legend having less battles to choose from - but tanks of your rank - is better than many battles that all have legends.

No point in having unlimited battles to choose from if they are all chock-full of tanks many ranks above yours.  Even if your team has legends, a General (or whatever) is less likely to get a good score because they have a more difficult time killing enemies.

Well, then I have a complaint too.

M3's, kindly stop being like this.

Stop Insulting us in battles and stop asking us to leave battles. If you don't care about us, then why should the Legends care about you?

It's like some sort of a cycle, What you plant now will be harvested later.

The bottom line is: every game I play has something on the line.

1. Points

2 Crystals

3. Missions

4. A win

5. Right now, super missions

I don't mind if players of lower rank join the games I am in IF they have the equipment AND can play.

But here is the cold, hard truth: I look for games with lower rankers constantly and join the other team. I rarely lose if there are at least 2 or 3 lower rankers on the other team. So you may have good equipment and be a good player but most are not.

And by the way, most of the lower legend ranks (legend, legend 1,2) are not that helpful to the team sometimes either.

Experience is a huge factor in this game.

ahahahahahaha

Getting to Legend 1 or 2 takes ~ one to two years, so experience isn't much of a factor.

But you can blame Devs for us joining battles with non-M4 equipment.  There needs to be a division of Legend ranks.

I'm certainly not delighted to fight Legend 25s while I'm Legend 1. But I don't have much of a choice.

Everyone play to win and if your opposite team is stronger then your's and you are letting them down then it is best and wise for you to leave. I personally hate when someone join my team and made my lose in a battle we were winning.
