There are people even of legend rank who never overdrive. Maybe cuz no one knows how to activate it. So whenever overdrive is at 100%, their should be a pop up that says press shift for overdrive. It's like one of those for delete for self destruct when u r low leveled. Thanks.

There's already a hint for overdrives in one of the loading screens, so I don't think adding more hints will solve the problem. Maybe some people just save their overdrive to use it at the right moment, so they may keep it charged for 4-7 minutes. Some people forget that they have it, or forget to activate it at a good time (I'm a bit guilty of that as well). Point is, people have different reasons for not using overdrive and I think only a small minority actually don't know how to use it.

What @Maf said. Also, some save it for the Gold Box drop. I usually save it for a short while to heal a teammate under attack or very low health. I've seen teams wait until everyone (or most everyone) has the white star, then half the team will activate it just before going on a raid and the other half will activate it while raiding.

There are also people who don't turn their turrets at Legend. I don't think hints are going to help.

Saving it for a gold box drop = multing. 

Especially in CP, where the entire team is at one point, there are still many people who refuse to overdrive to buff the entire team up.

This update would make the new players, like those of my rank, knowledgable about this. I see a lot of people that have OD the entire battle and are utterly confused when teammates ask them to use OD in chat. They have no idea what this thing is. I was even asked about how do I make such a blue sphere around me. Devs, step it up.

cmon maf. no one ever reads those loading screens, and even if they do, wont understand what it means (evidently this is true because players dont know how to use overdrive). i hate it when people on my team dont know how to use overdrive and we lose the game because of it. . . . :( this should really be added.

that would only work for new tankers. . ..  everyone that started playing dont go to tutorial again.(not saying it shouldnt be in tutorial-but tuorial wont be enough)

It might be a good idea to categorize Overdrive as a supply of sorts, and give it an unlock rank. That way, when new players rank up to say, Sergeant and unlock the Overdrive "supply" their attention will be drawn to the new item and they'll learn how to use it.
