So, here's my suggestion - add a custom background colour to moderators' (main) chat messages. In a fast-moving chat it's easy to miss moderator's warnings and/or other messages (despite the moderator icon next to the nickname) that are important for newbies and inexperienced players, so this kind of system would prevent this from happening.

 

Here's how it would look like:

 

 

I'm not quite sure if it would possible to implement something like this, but it would surely be a great improvement.

I know what you are trying to get at, but colors would have to be tested on the green background. It would have to be a translucent color in order to see the text.

I have a better idea. Any one can write highlighted messages, but it cost money. When you talk about important things in a highlighted message it will be seen by more people and you show off how rich you are. No one should disagree with this idea, because it is not pay to win but it also help tanki get more money.

Why would Spectators' messages need to be highlighted? Helper Specs have their nick as 'Spectator' in yellow in battle chats anyway which is already easy to see.

As per the Patch Update #594, Chat Helpers' nicknames are now highlighted in light red (together with their respective helper status prefixes in front of their usernames) in the lobby chats of the HTML5 version of the game.
