Add more maps to the map pool of standard battles

Loved Noise CTF battles, so fun! Unfortunately, they were removed. I need to pay 5k every month to play one of the many maps I love. As I don't play much its hard for me to make a crystal profit as most of it goes towards buying Pro Passes. Hopefully, the devs will listen.

Yeah missing those legendary maps like noise, kolhoz, etc,...

Small maps like sandbox, boombox, hill can be added into non-pro (probably make 5v5) that would be really lot better

It's always good to try & play on different maps instead of playing in same massacre, polygon,etc., :unsure:

Hope tanki would consider this as a suggestion. :)

Currently, the majority of the maps are long range or boring medium ranges and I hate them all. There were short range maps like fortnox and bobriusk,  Tell me if more short range maps will be added because I am having no fun at the moment.

To optimize the MMS. If all maps had different numbers of players, it would be much more glitchy, and waiting times would increase by a lot.

I don't believe it would be that hard.

 

Once X% of slots are filled the battle can start.  Each map can have it's own parameters. it would be doable.  Works in Tanki-X.

Just for those curious; this is the current Map Pool:

Yeah, having just 24 out of 77 total maps is a bit lame. I get if these maps would be specifically designed to have perfect balance and gameplay, but some of them are not even close. Maps like Highlands, Massacre, Silence and some others have terrible gameplay and/or give one team a big advantage over the other. Some PRO-only maps would be much more suitable for it.

 

However, I do understand why devs don't want to have a lot of maps in the list. Every update that affects the design of maps means that every single map must be individually edited, such as the addition of Rugby mode, that required bases and ball drop locations to be added on every map. This is why devs want to minimise the time spent on editing maps in order to release such updates faster.

 

Remember the time when the crystal boxes got changed and then completely removed two days later? Hazel actually said that he was extremely frustrated when he spent many days placing crystal drop locations in strategic locations in each of the 77 maps, only to then be asked to remove them from all the maps (which was another day of work).

I hate, nah, I loathe the new matchmaker battle system.  Since its inception, I have witnessed many enjoyable battlefields disappear from the selection pool.  I don't use the matchmaker.  I still go to the battle list and look for a battle to join.  WHY??? Becuase there are some maps I just don't like playing.  Furthermore, I don' t enjoy being at the lower end of the battlefield's rank and file.  Which is what happens when I use the matchmaker buttons.  

 

Look I am not one to complain and not offer a suggestion.  But, player created non-pro battles need to be brought back or at least let players buy into the creation of a non-pro battlefield with say 5000 crystals.  This way some of us older players can bring back the joy of the older days of tanki and you don't have the tons of useless battlefields on the server by having the player choosing if parting with 5000 crystals is reasonable to create a battle.  Plus, these player-created non-pro battles can be added to the matchmaker system as a possible field to drop a waiting player.

The thing we have now is not a matchmaker. It's just a quick battle system. It simply looks for a non-full battle with 10+ minutes left on the timer and sticks you into it. The matchmaking system that devs are promising to add is meant to be much more advanced, sorting players into teams based on their skill, equipment, supply usage, etc.

          That will be finished, up and running after 2000 years, you forgot to mention. Just like the in-game clan system, etc. We already know these fairy-tales.

I would love to play again on Chernobyl, Esplanade, Gravity or Noise. Or try out other maps like Magistral, Valley Canyon. :unsure:

 

I hope more maps will receive some appreciation.

You can replace Highways with Fortnox . Fortnox was really good map and I liked it, future and Iran from the beginning.Add cologne as well. It was there at the first place but now it is gone.

Umm, Yea actually this idea should be given a thought, not a thought it should be worked upon. Legendary maps :). I cant play in non-supply battles, its annoying. I badly want these map in the non-pro pool. I support this topic x9999 :D. Right now 30-40 k play online and complain about lag, where in 2014-15 100 k + used to play together with no lags !!!  :mellow:  I support this idea, from the bottom of my heart  :D British
