I asked a friend of mine, whose an Atheist, what she would do. She said, "For the first time in my life, I'd get on my knees and pray!!" A catastrophe can change people.

There is one week before the apocalypse. Who would want to buy property?

1...I'd see if I had enough food and water for a week.

2...Go to the bank and withdraw all my money, just in case I survived and the banks didn't. I may not be able to spend the money after the apocalypse, but i'd have it just in case.

3...People will go into panic mode. There will be a lot looting and people will kill others for that last can of beans.

4...I'll head back home, make sure my pets are comfortable.

5...Do things around the house and yard to keep my mind occupied.

6...Pray for a miracle.

This apocalypse isn't theory. If you are in your 30s  or younger you'll most likely die in the upcoming worldwide famines / global existential wars that will kill off billions of humans. It is just a matter of time before the food chain fails in the wake of climate change. At that point civilization effectively ends.

So to answer this question ... what are you doing today?

What a nonsense. You are a total pessimist, right?

You underestimate the technological advance which changes the world faster than ever before. Climate change caused by CO2 will be solved by transporting the CO2 out of our atmosphere (to Moon, Mars or just to space) or dividing it to carbon and oxygen. Everything will use electric or hydrogen engines in the future. Plastic materials will be made in factories from carbon and air when oil runs out.

If WW3 started (I predict it), I would be called to army (I hope I will get good equipment) and then it is just about luck...

People who will survive WW3 will have a good and long life with everything they ever wanted... Spaceship, tank, laser guns, armor with exoscelet, land on Moon and Mars and even more...

There's good reason to be pessimistic when it comes to climate change.

don't tell me you're a climate change denier.

We will have the technology to transport the CO2 out of our atmosphere (maybe to Mars and Moon to increase their temperature) or to divide tons of CO2 into carbon and oxygen in few decades! We just need to take care of some animals (breed them) so they do not get extinct.

There is not an unlimited amount of coal, oil and gas so sooner or later we will burn it ALL (because Why Not?) and nuclear energy will be used instead of fossil.

What to do after uranium runs out in Solar System (this will be actual after thousands of years)? Switch to solar energy or explore the other systems.

It will never be over. Not until the last of the reporters are slaughtered. What do you think happened to destrod? He's dead. Cause: anti-tank bullet through his heart. You're next.

personally I agree with this, WW3 will probably start in the next 10-20 years at the most and it wouldn't surprise me if the technology stuff happens too

WW3 would be so destructive, people will probably not even have a tubelight to call a 'laser beam'.

Nobody would be stupid enough to use mass destruction weapons (chemical, biological or nuclear). Only conventional weapons would be used.
