Without Russian !

Recommended Posts

If the game is in English, then what are the Russians who have never heard of English to play with me on the same map? The Russians are deaf because they do not understand English. It's a shame not to know English while you're on a site created in English.
The Russians have to go to English, and then they can play with me on the same map. Am I right or not?
How long do I learn how to make a site right?

Declined

The site is in English simply because you are using an English interface. The game itself was created in Russia, and therefore it's inevitably most popular in Russia than in other countries and has more Russian players than any others. There used to be different servers for different communities, but that was removed to help battles full up faster.

It's not a shame to not know a language (no one is shaming YOU for not knowing Russian) and no one will be forcing anyone to learn a language to play the game. Although as far as I know, developers are planning to add something that will help in-game communication.

I get his point,

Arguing semantics does not make people smarter.

I felt a little sorry for the OP, who (though he wasn't being racist in the slightest) has had several fingers pointed at him in an accusing manner, which was completely unfair as their accusations were founded on a flawed understanding of a word. No need for you to get involved here.

That's all. If you actually want a discussion, my PM is always open (:

It's alright, you just amused me rather than annoyed me.

No hard feelings :3

i'm against tankers not being able to communicate with each other due to language differences , but that does not necessarily mean that they should be separated . there is an alternative solution , and it does not involve cutting the players into different sides . That solution is an automatic translating system . I'm not trying to suggest anything or introduce a new idea because the idea itself was suggested before and it's still under review. All I'm saying is , maybe more Russians need to learn English but not everyone has the ability to do so .

Maybe we should learn Russian. Have you ever thought about it from their point of view?

This is debatable. Racism has taken on more meaning that simply discrimination against race, especially in recent years. What term can you think of that means "discrimination against ethnicity?"

The game was originally released in English then translated into Russian. This is why you will see an English interface in some early Russian advertisements for TO.

I've just checked it on TO Wiki and it indeed seems that TO was first released in English. On October 16th, 2009 it was translated to Russian.
