There is lots of Russian, but there is a lot of other nationalities too, and the number of international outnumber the number of Russian.
You also have to realise than other country use the Russian alphabet, and can also speak Russian (ex-CCCP). Do you count them also as Russian?

i don't get your point . English is understood around the globe , Russian is not . you're trying to tell me to learn Russian for a game and that does not make sense . If I told you to go and learn German or Danish for a game would you ? please don't be irrational .

It wouldn't be for only a game. Just about every country in Europe has English as one of their de jure official languages, Asia and Africa also have quite a few. English IS a worldwide language, and learning it for a game would benefit that person if they were to travel anywhere in Europe, half of Asia, and a lot of Africa. If a Russian decides to get a government job, chances are they will need basic knowledge of English to even apply. Russian and other Cyrillic languages are in the minority compared to others (English, Spanish, German, and almost every other Latin based language.) For English speakers to learn Russian would do little benefit other than for this game unless you have a real life reason (relative) who is native Russian and doesn't know English, or if you plan to move or visit Russia.

 

Not only that, but they also have a head start on learning the other language than we do. Millions have basic knowledge of English, most English speakers have no knowledge of Russian, other than it exists.

 

Point is, it is more useful to learn English "for a game" rather than to learn Russian, quite literally, "for a game".

 

Edit: As for a compromise: 2 small servers, and one large server. Small ones will be for the 2 biggest languages (EN and RU), and the large one is undefined; any and all languages. This one will be the default, however, you can choose to switch to any server at any time. (Like we used to be able to do, just with less servers)

We all have the same rights, no matter what nationality, race, gender, sex, religion, to play a game (there's actually a law in the United Nations that give Freedom to Play and Relax whatever way you want to no matter who you are)
