Story of the Week

 

We've all heard of the video of the week or a question of the week or at least most of us have, what I suggest is pretty simple, a story of the week, best story wins for a reward of some sort. After all not all tankers have a youtube account or big brains(wink) but several tankers can prove themselves through writing. As a tanker, I'm pretty sure many others would agree(I hope).

Nothing wrong with your idea, but I can almost guarantee that it won't happen. At least not in the V-log. No one wants to sit there and read a story. Maybe "meme of the week" or "joke of the week" would work, but not a story. Your idea would be more suitable as some internal competition in the newspaper or the AWC.

Aww too bad, but maybe they can show the story for like 5 seconds and the people can pause and read while watching the v-log or something. After all most 500 word stories can be read in 2 or 3 mins. The only reason i prefer the v-log is that the competition would be more official and more people would compete.

People are just generally not that interested in stories, compared to something like images and videos. Sad, but true.
