Rugby, Assault updates

I'm looking forwward to the day when Rugby is available in Pro battles. ASL usually encourages the use of cancerous weapons and tactics, both combat and strategy are ruined in this mode.

Also, with server restart tomorrow, Assault mode will receive the following changes:

 
  • Red Team will now earn 5 points for delivering the flag;
  • When the flag is dropped, the wait time until it’s returned will be shortened.

The problem with Assault Mode you are using same amount of drugs as you would in ctf but getting soooooooooooo little EXP. This is why I do not play it 15 minutes there = 300 EXP. 15 Minutes in CTF = 700. Same drugs used, You should think about decreasing the amount of flags and increasing the EXP if you ask me. And also we do not need a spinning ball in rugby we need you to fix notifications where we can see who has it etc. I do not like looking at side I prefer looking at the top. There is no notifications in any battles atm besides when its returned.

Add more medium maps to non pro bro battles. Most of the maps in them now are quite large and I had to travel to get to the enemy base. Bobruiks was a medium map and it was fun to play but it disappeared now. The last time i remember seeing it was during the black Friday sale.

20 flags for 100 points!?! Doesn't that seem a lot? And btw how much was it before?

As the EXP is still a little if its a full battle you will get little more than 5, They mean when you cap it it'll be 5 points unlike the old one which was 7. So if you cap one it'll be 5 - [whatever blue is] If you understand.

I hope we can also catch the ball while its in the air sometime in the future. Nice update, I like spinning balls. :D

 

 

Hey,we can catch the ball while it's in the air now! I did it many times and have seen other players do it. It's cool but you don't know about it because you didn't really explore the rugby mode and don't now everything about it.

Something i want to be in at least February is BOTH modes in Pro Battles i mean you said about Assault mode about 4+ months and still no pro battles so it will be good to see, thanks......

I'm reposting this...

 

This is my idea for the icons...

And like I said, the flag and ball position should only show when the flag is dropped, and when the ball is on the ground or on the air.

 

Also, the goal icon of one team should blink when the enemy has the ball, that would also tell their noob teammates to defend base, and tell noob enemies where to take the ball.

 

PS: A color like the background of the image should be the background for the client when the skybox is turned OFF.

Assault Mode in Polygun is very unbalanced. Blue team has to defend in the center of the map with low elevation. It might take a while, but I recommend you to add little changes in every assault mode maps.

I’m happy to see Alterniva giving Assault Mode some attention. I’m just not sure these steps will be enough.

 

IMO the map, not the Assault Mode parameters, determines the winner. This is because very few maps are the same layout for Red as they are for Blue. Sweeping Red-nerf parameter changes like this will only increase the number of maps favoring a blue team defensive win.

If you are going to call the new game mode “Rugby”, so when a player scores it is called “a try”, not “touch down”. 

I say it should only be sounds like in CTF.
