Or maybe you just don't know anything about parkour and can't choose the best ones.

We decided before the contest started against a subjective list of best entries. This contest is about who can do it, not who can do it in the most beautiful way.

That moment when a contest is created by Swiftsmoky, Ben, and myself after Cedric comes to us wanting a fresh new parkour contest concept...Then gets taken over by noob parkourers :D

I just wish one day nives would stop putting soo much faith into the same people. Even Cedric started to realize this at one point...It's sad really

We decided before the contest started against a subjective list of best entries. This contest is about who can do it, not who can do it in the most beautiful way.

What they are doing is good. It's Parkour "Survival" so it doesn't matter how you do it . Also beat entries is a perspective thing what you feel best the other person may not and vice versa.

Don't worry I know what this is about, I came up with the whole concept for this contest. The best entries list is a bonus just to show some of the coolest tricks, you can completely ignore it's existence if you want to, but there are lots of players who are interested in seeing the coolest tricks that were done in this contest. And just like I would too, there are players that take the extra challenge and do an impressive trick that will get into the best entries list, but most players still just try to survive.

 

I helped judging the entries of the first challenge, I watched every single one of these entries and you can check yourself to find out that most of the entries are the exact same 2 tricks and only a few are unique, so we mark all these unique entries and vote to choose the best of these for the best entries list. So the best entries are some of the very few unique entries, so even without seeing the actual entries you can expect the unique entries to be better than the easiest popular tricks.

as you can see, there are unhappy people about the best entries list being removed from the contest, people love it so why remove it? and you already have all the entries judged and the best entries ready...

 

bottom line: people love it and it doesn't take anything away from the contest and it's survival nature, only adds another layer of fun and awesomeness to it :P

Firstly , I know you came up with this idea. So what , it doesn't necessarily mean that it should same/similar where you left it. If you wanted it to be done (best entry) then why leave at all and let others take incharge. Ok so now they take incharge and trying to do something people are criticizing / hating on them rather than giving them a chance. This mindset is really dull , its just like developer's mindset I created TO so I can do whatever I want by making uncessary updates which ofcourse lots of players don't like but they still play TO.

 

Secondly , if people really wanna see cool tricks and are really interested in Parkour then they can either do one of the two things :

 

a) Watch all the entries and decides what is best for them

b) Wait for PS to get over and then check YT where people brag about thier entries saying it's best

 

Lastly , you can't be so sure about Makman why is he unhappy he may be unhappy about the new recording rule or maybe about the change they made in rule of Challenge. So don't jump into conclusion saying it's about best entry though it can be a possibility too.

 

Bottom line : I would once again say it's Parkour " Survival " so only surviving matters.

 

PS : Guess what according to your theory , now they are incharge so they have the right to do whatever they want to . If you don't like it you can just leave like you left from the organizer team not a big deal I guess.

and I didn't say they have no right to do it, I gave feedback with my reasons to explain why I suggest it, that's all.

Yep, it's all that matters for winning the contest. but having fun things on the side isn't harmful, just like tanki is about fighting other tanks and yet it's great having parkour in it :P

Maybe they changed it in the last minute or wanted to give you suprise like they did to us by changing certain rules. I won't be suprised if next week they say this is challenge no 3 and it's the last challenge.

;) As SwiftSmoky said, the best entries were selected before he left. We just wont publish a simple list, because we think that is not what those entries deserve. Just be patient the best entries will appear somewhere.
