Yep...a couple of other points.

It pays to drag the war out till your team gets the 100 max containers....Winning too early is effectively bad for all the participants.

If the war drags out....you'd assume the no-lifers and high-quality players would receive their max 100 container reward first. Will they all maintain interest in the contest?? (can't remember what the final reward is, temporary animated paint and a long shot at a dream tank I think)..is this enough? especially if they aren't necessarily fighting for their community, but themselves.

p.s...these points are off the top of my head, might be complete nonsense.

Not at all nonsense. But a team cannot drag out a war w/o risk. After so many turns any surviving team will have the 10 / 10 resources. At that point whoever has the rocket province wins. The rocket province is not going to go un-owned for long.

There are three objectives to chase - Rocket, Resources, Bonuses, but you can move in only two directions / turn. :)

Some sneak peaks:

Wow. If this is teh real map RU mas a massive advantage. They start with a ton of resources on their border and one of the 4 double-bonus provinces only 2 turns away. No one else has one that close.  EN on the other hand has few resources. I hope this is not the real map because it does not seem an even playing field.

Wow. These guys might have actually made a pretty damn good game, this War thing.

Now that we know a little more in terms of reward system we can think a little about strategies.  I am starting to think the small teams have a massive advantage. But even if I am wrong about that the 4 teams are going to be faced with some hard choices. Some early rulles-of-thumb to consider.

  • The soonest the War can be won is after 5 full turns. That would pay 15 Containers +15 for the winner.
  • Capturing a single 20-Container province would pay more than would a quick victory.
  • Provinces with resources needed to win will not pay 1-time bonuses.
  • In order to win quickly a team must target resource provinces as often as possible.
  • It follows then the faster a team tries to win the fewer 1-time bonuses it will capture.
  • The longer the War lasts the move profitable it will be to win it.

Suddenly this game got quite interesting. I withdraw my prediction of a 6-turn first game. :)

Omg profitable war! Just like in reallife! lol you raise some good points bro

200 kills in 24 hrs. for occasional players could be aggressive. Shouldn't take more than a few hours to get at least 1 turn for most casual players. I don't have that kind of time most days. Still going to have fun with it. Hardcore players are going to do very well for prize and country.

PL is closest to a one time bonus region and DE has most resource regions at the border of their capital. All capitals are equally far away from a double bonus region. However, at first sight I agree, EN capital does seem to be in a bit of a disadvantageous location.

There are imbalances that do not make much sense but I suspect the real map will look different.

Each home province starts with 1 of each resource bordering it.  So all 4 teams can gain 2 of each per turn starting from turn 1. That means everyone and I mean everyone will be in position to win by turn 6. That means one of them WILL win turn 6 because one team WILL hold the missile base at the end of that turn.

Therefore I think we will see the real map start with no resources adjacent to the home provinces. If they are next door it is a 6 turn game 99% certain.

Wait so if we buy the paint and that team wins do you get the animated paint? Like if u dont participate at all??

It's not as easy as that. In order to be eligible for the winner rewards, you have to have completed at least five turns. Completing a turn means making 200+ kills and casting your vote during Strategy phase and making kills the next day during Battle phase.
