What's the first thing you do when a Gold Box drops?

Use DS while on self des at the same time looking for the drop
re-spawn to get the better view from above.
Then use DS to find the location and then DA

Equip Double-Damage - especially if I am using Thunder or Striker.

No matter what happens, I used to kill the striker and magnum and wear armor and Use nitro. Helps in pushing nugs.

I got a gold today with dicatator and thunder. Everyone jumped off a cliff to try and catch it and I was the last one to jump. I landed on top of all the others and got the gold.

Last year, when I started playing, I caught a gold on Barda by speeding at the pile of tanks.  I had a Wasp and somehow I went up the front of a Dictator and took the gold before it landed.  Tried the same thing a few times since, but no luck.

 

Now I don't bother unless it lands right next to me.

I always try, but I've been playing Tanki for almost 3 years now and I've only ever caught 7 golds.

If you go onto my profile page, it says I’ve caught 50 something golds.

 

The truth is, 4 out of 5 of those golds were dropped by me or my friends.

It’s very hard catching a gold in an unplanned gold-drop.

Anyway, I self-destruct if the map is big, then, if no smart supplies, I use all my supplies after  5 seconds after I respawn. Then, if no higher platforms, I hide behind building, then rush for it. If there's high platform, I go on it, then jump when gold drops. If gold appears, I just gotta push othertank to stay on the drop zone lol!

First I used to change to dictator.

Now game lags so I use dictor from start, and use speed boost first and DA later.

And health boost if fire is nearby.

I equip DD and DA, find the symbol, and shoot the pileup (in volley mode) from a safe distance  :ph34r:. Then I rush in and try and shove everybody else out the way.

Different people have different reactions when a Gold Box drops. What I do is switch to Titan and just push the other tanks out of the way. I want to hear some different strategies from you guys.

Now I feel safe as there is no way my fingers would press 9 without my knowing.

Yeah, I can't see what all the fuss is about either.

 

My stats say I've caught 24 gold boxes, funnily enough that's exactly how many I have dropped. Gotta love those 1 player private battles :D

With the new update, wasp or hornet is more effective than dictator to catch golds, especially when jumping from high spot.
