A new way to earn crystals... PLAYER BEWARE!

I don't really know where to post it (I hope the forum mod will move it in the proper category), but I want to describe a really cheap thing that high ranked players do using mult accounts to earn crystals.

First they use 2-3 accounts to constantly flood the chat with messages like: "<battle link> gold rain join", the message is of course fake and if you come to the battle no golds will be found. Autofinish is off and that's where the next mult account comes into action. There is always one used in the battle that doesn't do anythig - his only purpose is to make the battle last.

Impatient players will get annoyed and start killing each other which will cause the battle fund to raise. If a gold box is dropped because of the fund the "host" joins the battle and using a brutal amount of drugs takes it with no effort and leaves. When the fund is high enough the chat mults stop spamming and the host waits for the impatient players to leave the battle. The battle mult leaves, the host joins and he starts to kill all the remaining playes with so many supplies and cheap tricks to make them leave. When everyone leaves the autofinish turns off and he can collect the fund. The battle mult joins, the host leave, chat mults spam again and the process repeats. This happen to me twice today and once in the past, the only reason why I come into those battles is very easy kills and tons of XP to earn without trying, but I haven't expected that there's such a system behind it.

What's the conclusion of this rant then?

Players! If you see a user (or a few of them) constantly promoting a gold rain in a battle, don't join - you won't fill your own pockets but someone else's (the only reason to join is easy XP) - there is no point in camping in the battle, the host will just wait for SU and kill you constantly with full drugs (no cooldowns).

Game devs/Chat mods! Take notice of many people spamming the same link all the time and block them for flood, do not let those people abuse the game. The game needs to be updated with a special firewall not allowing many account to be logged in from the same computer/IP address at once to prevent this. The more users like those we tolerate, the more unfair the game will become.

Once again I remind you not to believe the fake gold rain spammers, you'll end up wasting time and having your K/D destroyed by a greedy drugger.

i dont think so. you can get banned for spam if you promote gold rains over and over, but you would get banned for any other message if you spam it, so the reason for a ban will never say "promoting gold rains".

drugger always find a way to fool tanks into crystal farming,

 

there used to a lot noise 30 flag or 100 flags or long hour ctf battles when anyone can create normal battle with custom option,

 

then they start put more low rank mults in one team to attract other players to make easy kill,

 

after sometime, the those low rank mults slow leave, and replace with the raid clan;s druggers.

and the low rank mult joint opposite team to slowly weaken the other team,

 

if the fund grow is not enough, they will take turn switch side to keep the farming going,

 

in the end, they will hold last flag for every long to drive hopeless other team away, and fill up with all mults to end the battle safely.

Let me rephrase him - You can get banned for provoking others to flood the chat with '+' or stuff. They ask you to simply say, 'Golds dropping here,' once, and join the battle. That's it.

I suppose this is indeed a rather "cheap" way of getting kills, but there's nothing seriously wrong with it. If you join a battle that's been advertised as a "gold rain" - it's your own choice to trust that message and join the game. So you are choosing to trust the player who posted that message and are accepting the risk that there may be no golds at all. If you enter the battle and no one is dropping golds, all you need to do is leave. You don't lose anything, other than a couple minutes of your time. If you still want to stay and wait for golds while getting killed over and over - again, it's your personal decision to do so.

You don't get banned for organising a gold rain. You only get banned if the way you organise it causes spam in chat, such as "Type "+" if you want me to do a gold rain".

Brutal amount of drugs?  I try that EVERY time a gold drops and it rarely works.

Especially if there's a Dictator on the map. :lol:

Many of the top veterans do this, buyer clans like [DOD], [sN], [xGo], [MOF], [M00N] and manyyyy more do it, they then rotate their roles i.e the chat poster becomes the hardcore drugger, and hardcore drugger becomes chat poster and this goes on forever. Even a lot of moderators, youtubers, top parkour club members do this, some players are generous enough to actually drop one gold for a specific amount of kills [Eg. 80kills = 1 gold] but others just use dirty tactics.

 

The only thing common is between all these players is that they're either buyers/get paid by tanki for doing their work and are usually chatting with their helpers via discord/skype. I've personally hated this practice always as it is all about who has more drugs, its basically like a miniature scam so I stay away from these battles.

Those who promote obviously are dealt with, if they do in the chat or one of the chat lobbies. I have seen it many many times but obviously, they won't be dealt with every single time since there will surely be sometime when they will get away with it, unless you mean the actual battle.

Well, if it us players who have the choice whether we believe such players or not so I would say, there is nothing wrong if a player says, there is gold in here drop since you will be joining on your own choice and not being forced so yeah.
