Drugging Boom

Is anybody else concerned about the drugging boom? With the conclusion of the War, millions of containers are being given away to thousands of players. I got ~1500 of each drug myself, and there will be millions more given away through the reward containers. I've already seen this take effect on battles I've played. What I'm worried about are new players joining the game with nothing on them and casual players who didn't choose to participate in the war getting bombarded by a team full of druggers.

 

Thoughts on this?

The "drugging boom" happened when smart cooldowns were introduced back in 2014. And it got reinforced when the mission chain rewards were tripled in 2017, giving players a massive source of free supplies. Containers also contributed to that, but nowadays everyone uses supplies in battles regardless of whether or not there has been an event.

ikr tanki is giving away way too many free containers ($60 worth?!)

I hate it when super-rich guys are upset because things start to become slightly even.

You do have a good point, but this is (I believe) an effort on the part of the devs to try and reduce the extreme advantage given by drugging, by making them easily available to free players.

 

Yes, you are correct in that, but I suppose you could argue that since you needed to be Master Sergeant(?) to participate in the war, people will have plenty of time to earn their own drugs before getting to that rank.

 

Alternatively, they can just buy drugs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I hate it when super-rich guys are upset because things start to become slightly even.

i am not a buyer but i feel bad for the buyers. they spent hard earned money to buy containers so they should get benefits. tanki give too much free containers and now containers are worth nothing. thats not good

for example if McDonalds decides to sell very expensive hamburgers for $99, so you spend you hard earned money to buy it, and then later they decide to give everyone $99 burgers for free!! so u spent $99 and get nothing cause now these hamburgers are worth nothing how would u feel?

once again im not a buyer im just standing in there shoes

In my experience drug usage increased after the 2017 (or 2016?) supplies re-work. Suddenly you can engage DD and DA in short succession with no penalty, and then speed boost on top of that. The repair kit nerf helped though.

the real question is.... why are you buying $99 burgers?   :wacko: :blink:

 

Anyway... buyers (like you) still have many advantages... Premiums giving 2x crystals, access to shop kits, ability to have multiple protection modules well before competition, and ability to MU everything they have.

 

You don't think getting striker/keeper kit in sergeant ranks and MU-ing that to 10/10 is OP?  Smoky m2 wrecks those ranks...

Drugs are apart of the game... I feel if you come across druggers then you use drugs as well... me personally druggers has made my game even better... although its taken me several accounts to get there... that's why my rank is as low as it is... Ive bn playn since 2008... just an opinion


as for you buyer it serves you rite... earn it like the most of us do...

I am just as much concerned as you , drugs make games uneven and annoying to the losing side . I was just playing red alert CP and my team was winning with a difference of 10 or 11 , the game was quite balanced until the other team was suddenly filled with hardcore druggers , they overran us in a few seconds , we could not fight back not even by drugging because they had all their overdrives filled so quickly they almost didn't walk without having all supplies activated .

 

I really wish they would limit the power of drugging a little , it's so annoying to play with druggers all the time (I have 2500 of all supplies , but I don't like using them )

"But drugs add tactical element to the game uhe uhe uhe..." please spare me to that, drugs do nothing more than add minecraft´s creative mode to tanki. Tactical element? Yeah like going around being able to 2/3 shot people and praticaly nullify incoming dmg with 50% modules, double armor and repair kit spaming requires some crazy skill... Also drugs make some few combos much more efective than others that become basicaly unplayable. Moreover the only playing style that realy works this days is ramming your oponent while smashing number pad. I have no idea how can someone find this fun, I feel it´s the most ridiculous thing ever, even darkorbit has better pvp than this... Thats why I refuse to use that nonsence. Of course this would all be fine should not devs be activly trying to kill non-drug battles... I realy dont care about what those toxic players do as long as there is a viable way to enjoy the game away from them.

Yeah - Twins on supplies is one of the most annoying - it makes use of every second of the supply and... NEVER. STOPS. FIRING.

Even when there's no one within sight. 

 

It really is a brick-turret for the simple.

The way it should be. You can get mountains of supplies to use if you're willing to work for them, but in the same way buying them won't give you a huge advantage over others.

You forgot 1 tactic what can give non-druggers big k/d. Camping!

Ideal combos:

Mammoth Shaft

Titan Shaft (my favourite)

All hulls with Railgun

Viking Magnum

Hunter Magnum (more likely to get barrel shot by Shaft)

 

Camping, the only way to beat the druggers! Play Hornet Isida to support this defense tactic!

Yes thats the only thing that somewhat works (provided you are not shoting a 50% and drugs combo), however it gets boring sometimes. I basicaly camp with wasp-rail nowadays while doing missions <_<
