Will Magnum Ever Get Nerfed?

in a sand box or short maps  if the opponent is using magnum use fire or fireeze :) ..every gun has its own statatics !fire is still op in short maps

I tried once.

Sandbox CTF facing 3 magnums. Guess what, I'm the only who use heavy hull and can survive more than 5s after spawn as the rest of the light hulls are immediately dead.

Point taken. Although, if it's truly as irritating as you are saying, then maybe get some protection. I have 40% and enemy Magnums seldom kill me if I use that protection. I get that protection isn't much of a solution if you're low on crystals, but trust me that turret is the hardest to master.

As for your last point, can't you hit people hding behind walls with Thunder, Ricochet and Hammer?

I have two modules with Magnum protection.  helps, but when you're getting rained on and can't hit back it becomes frustrating.  They still weaken you enough that when their team-mates arrive to steal flag you can't fight back.

The choices in modules are quite limited.

Can't really see too much if you're shooting from behind a house.

Moving the camera angle allows magnum users to "see" a lot they really should not be able to "see".

Now for most turrets this is not an issue as they still have to move out from behind the house to take the shot.

Magnum can not be nerfed if it is done it will be overtaken by other turrets

The problem is with the team , when a team has >2 magnums it gets unbalanced

So what needed is limiting the number of magnum per team

You might want to re-read the posts again - I never said anything about how your garage "looks"

I said you bought crystals to improve it.  And you have.  That makes your perspective on it quite skewed compared to the majority of players.

I do fine with my garage - I have success while using 30% less supplies than you have, even though I've played 3 more ranks.

Magnum is a terrible design and does not fit the game. I could buy it but I won't because it's junk.

And it's your second-most used turret... so whatever...

If you've been here that long you know every single turret has been through balances.  So for you to say it is not OP is just ridiculous.

You need to stop trying to be a smart-ass and judge somebody from what they have in their garage. As I stated above, I did not buy any crystals.

Yet again, you found another problem to moan about which is me using supplies, has nothing to do with winning nor it makes me earn more crystals than everyone else. Premium members does not have super powers as you might imagine with your ignorant, jealous comments. You have full hatred towards people who buy, maybe because lower ranks make you feel embarrassed  .

Okay, that is your opinion about magnum, I accept that.

Yes absolutely, every turrent had their re-balances. When shaft came out in 2012 and M3 was really OP, it had a fast reloading time, it could 1 shot M3 mammoth even if he had DA on. So they re-balanced in 2015 or 2016.

And personally, most of the players still don't know how to play with magnum, therefore it is not that OP in my opinion.

^You can't hide and shoot with 15-20 degrees.

You can actually. I find myself using the standard 30 degrees angle if there are no Shafts. 15 degrees is pretty sharp and charge rate will be very critical in the outcome of your shot.

That's the point.

An experience magnum user remains hidden for almost all time and its tough to see behind a house but it is the best cover.

Exposing yourself is not good if you are a magnum.

Unless you want to become a suicide bomber

Point 1: Magnum is not the hardest turret to master.

Point 2: "Mastery" of this turret is not the point. The point is, 'mastery' is nowhere needed.  The point is, with magnum any ol' weak player can turn in inflated k/d results game after game. And they can start doing that shortly after thy buy the turret.

Yeah, there are a few players who have added actually good gaming skill atop the gross OP imbalance of magnum. But most of the players you see don't need skill.  The magnum plays the game for them.

That is the point.

Magnum in my opinion was the easiest turret to learn.

I think anyone with a little knowledge of Physics and how Trajectories work can master the turret within a week.

For the basics 3 angles are enough for the turret, 30, 45 and 60 degrees.

When you are in a cover with a wall before you, 30 degrees is the best angle as it covers good distance with less flight time, so the target can't move away a lot.

Use 45 degrees when you wish to hit maximum distance, like in highways, 45 degress and power ranging from 70-90% is enough to hit anywhere in enemy base.

The hardest to master is the 60 degree curve, as the time in air of the projectiles is way much so a lot of prediction is required, but once mastered you will be practically invisible as you can hit over the top of houses, like in Kungur blue base, Tribute Red base.

So with that said its easy to learn and many players suck in prediction that's why they end up doing self damage and miss the targets, thus magnum is a turret that depends on player to player.

And since a majority sucks in using Mag, we will not see any balance in the turret atleast for now.

Lucifer sums it all up very well here.

First off... I said buyers have a different perspective on how easy things might be compared to roughly 85% of the other players. Nothing to do with hating buyers - it's all about perspective.

Interesting though that you never explicitly denied spending $$ until this last post. All your other posts were crypitc at best. Keep in mind - buying containers or Bundles is same thing. Not sure why you think I hate buyers or why you are reluctant to admit you buy - as though there's something wrong with that.

Secondly - I mentioned supply use because you insinuated I was unhappy with my garage or even struggled against lower rank players.  I play Legends 98% of the time - most higher than me, and I have plenty of supplies.  I just don't need to use them excessively to succeed.  And pretty sure I never mentioned Premium - since it's not that uncommon to get as a reward.

I hate to say this - but you're in for a big shock when you advance a few ranks - everyone that has Magnum at my rank knows how to exploit it to it's fullest.

Thing is, I've played this game since 2012 then I've left and came back in around 2016 as I continued playing with the same account from 2012 after the re-balance and I've got to Generalissimo by earning crystals in game without buying. So I'm pretty sure I'm experienced enough to see non-buyer players perspective mate.

Yes of course I did buy containers and bundles but never bought any crystal pack to totally max out my garage as I did earn enough crystals in game to do that. You clearly have hatred towards buyers because you think they are above everyone which is false.

You clearly do struggle against lower ranks since you mentioned my rank and described me that I am better than people because my garage is maxed out which is not true, that means no matter if you're at legend rank, you will get pounded by a lower rank with better garage, that is why you're butthurt about.

I play with legends too and most of them doesn't know how to turn their turrent or fire magnun properly. I've seen enough from 2012 till 2018.

But at least you finally came out of the closet.  B)

Well, it's been pretty OP for a while now, and I don't understand why the devs still believe that Magnum is balanced. What do you think?

I think its fine

I have Magnum. Believe me when I tell you that I could not hit targets standing still more than 20 metres or so ahead of me. Magnum is the most difficult turret to use. Don't believe me? Just buy it.

Railgun is the most difficult turret to use. It needs to aim in less than 1 second. Magnums have infinite time, they are safe from everything except another Magnum or skilled Shaft.

All Magnum requires is someone with no skill and the tendency to be a slug.

But will it be nerfed?  If the game survives long enough tanki nerfs and buffs everything eventually.

They nerfed hammer and smoky down to nothing. Maybe next time they will buff.

Smoky isnt nothing in the right hands it is the best turret and Hammer can do good also but need Peak-aboo

To be honest, I see a lot less Magnums now than I did 7-8 months ago. Seems like the novelty wore off and people realised that Magnum is quite hard to use and other turrets are easier and more fun. And on maps where Magnum rules there's usually tons of protection modules and it's not that effective anyway. So in the end I'm not sure if it needs a nerf at all.
