Change K/D formula

Right now the k/d is very simple (kills/deaths). But that means if I get points not from killing enemies (isida, delivering flags/balls etc.) my k/d will be low.

example: I am using isida and I have 200 points, 3 kills and 8 deaths. my k/d will be 0.375, that makes it look as if I am a bad player.

If we change the k/d formula to score/10/deaths, my k/d will go up to 2.5, which is way better.

Currently, the k/d isn't showing my real abilities, so I suggest to change it from (kill/death) to (score/10/death).

It will be more complicated, but will show players' real abilities.

K/D won't be a good indicator of abilities no matter how it's changed. No point doing this, IMHO. Better to keep K/D as what it is and instead add new, more accurate indicators of a player's skill.

if k/d isn't a good indicator then why keep it in the first place??

 

I'm getting so sick of people assuming I use shaft just to get high k/d when i  really don't give a crap about my k/d. it just happens to be high because i kill more than i die.

my idol dynamite is 1.05 so i honestly wouldn't mind if my k/d was lower

Erm, I don't want to sound like I'm stating something that's too obvious, but you do realise K/D stands for the ratio between your Kills:Deaths, right?

 

Changing its formula would mean it would no longer be a K/D at all.

Nah K/D indicator is fine as it is, the real way to tell a person's skill in Team battles is how many points they have, like if you're using Isida and have alot of points but a low K/D that just tells everyone you have a Medic/Team healer style of play

KD isn't the way to determine how good you really are; it's how many patients to heal or how much you help the team which makes you a great player.

 

Also, unlike real life tests I don't see a need to be showing your "real abilities" because if you're playing well and helping the team and someone tells you that you are a noob sheerly based on your kd, then you should ignore that person.

          If you really wanna give K/D more accuracy just remove K/D registered in parkour maps from general K/D stats. There are so many good players doing real parkour getting K/D lowered and so many depressed psychos killing in parkour with no reason getting K/D raised.

The problem with this idea is that it would no longer be Kills/ Deaths and therefore wont be a good way to judge someone.

 

I have a theory of why KD even exists and i need someone to verify or disprove it:

KD was for the DM system
