Tank Controls, Gold Box Drops update

awesome! now i can get gold boxes more often because once i was so close to getting one but some guy killed me right before i got it.

What leads you to believe it won't still happen to you?

I wonder why Titan and Mammoth got the new tank controls as well. They are not known as being to drifty to me and since both of the heavy hull class got it, it does not give more differentiation.

Have you tried those two tanks with the new controls out in the test server last week by any chance?

Be patient and the check the new hull dynamics, I think adding it to Wasp is a mistake, instead Viking should have been included.

 

But I'm pretty sure devs will be checking our feedback and reverse any changes or make improvements, at least for Wasp.

 

So try the new dynamics with an open mind.

 

The 10s Gold drop is too short, 20s would have been better.

I think so, but I didn't do it for long. I mainly remembered that Viking was by far less drifty and more stable than before.

So I take it you didn't notice any noteworthy changes (either positive or negative) to titan or mammoth?

Actually I don't know for now if the new controls would be better for Viking or not :) I just stated what I noticed.

Yep personally I didn't notice big differences with the heavy hulls, but I wanted to understand the decision on the controls system. But I think it's best to wait and see how it will turn out for the different tanks.

I don't know the reasoning behind the decision, which is why I wondered if you noticed anything while testing them, as that could have given a hint. I didn't get a chance to test those controls myself.

Dictators have no chance now but laggers do. That's why i think they should remove the black box from drops, because it's a big incentive for cheaters to keep looking for ways to cheat. And the more time the black box is included in drops more and more players will be learning how to cheat this way.

I never said this reduces multing, I just said you should NOT self destruct in a battle just for the sake of 1000 crystals. Please don't overread.

What are you talking about everyone self destructs at gold and you should because what happens if the gold is a container, even 1000 crystals is worth self destructing because unless you have premium you won't get 1k crystals in a battle unless it is double battle funds

But you don't even see the laggers taking the gold box, maybe only showing the tank who took the box and that was not seen in the pile up.

It's difficult to describe but the best example I can think of is that they will drive more like tanks instead of cars as they did before.

After thinking a lot about this new update, if you guys think it’s bad here are some good points of the update:

 

1) Bigger chance to take the gold box;

2) No more players that change for Dictator or a Heavy Tank (in a small map);

3) Gold box will be more about Luck, less than Skills... This will let a good chance to players that doesn’t really have skills to take gold boxes!
